Monthly Astrology January 2025 Forecast for All Signs
ARIES
Slow is the new fast
Trust that heaven knows
Return to your past to rewrite your future
Party like it’s 2024, Aries. Because the start of ‘25 puts you in the slow lane. Hardly where you want to be. Although Mercury’s retroshade lifts from Jan 1, ruler Mars is backwards and re-enters Cancer and your 4th (6th). When our personal planet retrogrades, we can feel disconnected disempowered and blocked. Life slows to a crawl. The lights flash from red to amber, to red – but no green. We’re held back, spinning our wheels. The more we push, the less we achieve. The only way forward is paradoxically surrendering and understanding heaven knows. As in heaven or the cosmos knows best. And if we’re being held back and going nowhere, to see where we’re at with fresh eyes.
No matter the planetary retrograde – the rules apply. ‘Re’ words rule. This is going to be especially applicable to you in the upcoming months Aries, as you are set for Venus to retrograde in your sign in March. It starts this month as Venus in your 12th (3rd), refreshes your perspective on your past. This isn’t about rose tinted glasses, Aries. Not with Saturn also in here. But also – reconnect to your trust during this time. Look back at your past and those times you coped, conquered or came up with the right solution. If you are stuck now, this tells you that no matter what, you will find a way out, round or through it. Trust begins within us. Reboot it now.
The 3rd sees retro Mars still in your 5th opposes Pluto in your 11th. The last time these two faced off – Mars was in Cancer and Pluto still in Capricorn. The energy will feel different this time around due to both planets being in different signs. And not just down to the fact Mars is retrograde. This is the first of two such oppositions as there will be a second one when Mars heads direct again.
Look to shifts around your communities, creativity and what you pour your passionate intent into. In other words – what or who you love, love to do or dream about. When it comes to others and lovers – watch for themes around manipulation. There’s a fine line to walk between that and positive influence. By the time Venus engages with Saturn (19th), you’ll be able to discern which is which.
A pay it forward karmic cycle begins on the 12th when the North Node leaves your sign and enters Pisces and your 12th. Joining Neptune and Saturn (which rules karma) in here. This is about those credits and debits you’ve accrued. It also puts the South Node in Virgo and your 6th. Reminding you that right action is a healthy choice. Our higher selves do keep the score. And our bodies can also mirror this. Because Virgo and your 6th is the house of duty, due diligence and paying attention in the here and now, this tells you that today is always a new beginning. And that any day is the point when you can choose to reset your karmic counter.
Again, this is your counter-intuitive wisdom at work. During the next 20 months there’s a full circle feel happening. You may encounter people who pay you forward by offering the help or assistance you need. But without any apparent agenda. As this is your house of the past and past lives – take it you have probably done the same for them at some point. You will be facing the consequences of past choices and decisions. It’s not about judgement. It’s about ownership and learning. And then doing things differently.
You can actively change up your family and relationship karma during this Mars retro by choosing to make love, not war. Simply by not giving in to a knee jerk reaction or old triggers. Especially with the full Moon in its ruling house/sign of Cancer and your 4th the day after the North Nodes arrival. It trines Saturn in your 12th. And asks you to reach for a new set of tools if faced with changes on the home front.
Keep those ‘re’ words in mind. And yes, renovate and redecorate are two if you wish to make creative changes to your home. But rest, recharge, refresh and the highly counter-intuitive retreat also apply here. Especially if you feel emotionally triggered or overwhelmed. Don’t be afraid to take off that warrior armour and give voice to your vulnerabilities either. Especially if your default is usually to battle on regardless. Revealing your emotional truth is the ultimate and simple karmic reset.
Just keep in mind during this massive retro cycle – which really is as up close and personal as it gets for your sign, that taking love and also your goals, slow, is the new fast. Counter-intuitive could just turn into your new superpower. The paradoxical elements combine to add focus and fuel to those goals which remain relevant. And once the Sun (19th) reaches Aquarius and your 11th, massive gains an inroads to dreams that never die, can occur organically. As will letting go of those goals you have simply outgrown. Which in turn frees up your energy to refocus on what matters.
The Sun’s meeting with Pluto (21st), combined with Mercury’s trine to Uranus (23rd), hands you a magnetic and compelling quality that others are drawn to. IRL and on that feed. Your social life shifts into high gear despite the cosmic slowdown. Others may encounter someone who opens a door to career or personal progress. You are set to impress others or draw to you the resources you need. However, Mercury’s opposition to Mars (also 23rd), may see you decide that one particular connection has run its course. If you are faced with this, understand there should be no room for regret or even anger. It’s simply the point where your paths diverge so treat any goodbyes philosophically.
The area which offers you the most growth is your sector of friends, followers, communities and goals. Above all, get involved in something now. Be a joiner. Actively engage and immerse yourself fully in the flow of lives of those who surround you. Mercury’s entrance into your 11th and its fusion with Pluto (29th), occurs the same day as the new Moon appears in here.
This also brings in the Chinese New Year of the Green Wood Snake. A fitting symbol of rebirth and new beginnings. Especially when combined with Pluto’s energy. It sets the temperature of your social scene for the next six months. It’s the ideal time to recommit to old goals. And set new ones. To make that extra effort to immerse yourself.
This is a new Moon of sharing. Yourself, your presence, your time and above all, to inspire with your aspirations for the future. Yes, January slows you down. But it also has you gaining in karmic credits, harnessing the miraculous power of the here and now, and hands you real forward progress with assembling that dream team, gaining connections and followers. And making inroads to your goals. Reinvention is the highway ahead, Aries. And yes, slow is the new karmic payoff.
In a nutshell: As one of the most pro-active signs out there, taking it slow can be challenging. But trust in the fact that heaven knows best now ruler Mars is retrograde. And might just have the perfect plan for you. Surrender this January. And see your 2025 forecast for more.

TAURUS
You’ve got big dreams, you want fame.
Well fame costs, and right here is where you start paying.
Lydia Grant (Debbie Allen), Fame
What has held you back in the past no longer has any influence on you as 2025 begins, Taurus. While the Aries next door begin the new year in a reflective slow-down, you have until March to power ahead. You are in fully focussed eyes on the prize mode. Which should now be tantalisingly within your grasp as planetary momentum builds in your 10th house of status, success, rewards and recognition.
I could add that you have almost 20 years of this turning you into a powerhouse for self-directed progress. And that’s all down to Pluto now in Aquarius. The quote at the start of your forecast is from the 1982 TV series ‘Fame’ which followed on from the 1980 film of the same name.
There was a remake in 2009 and the now iconic line was referenced but changed. Here it is:
There are some things success is not. It’s not fame. It’s not money or power. Success is waking up in the morning so excited about what you have to do that you literally fly out the door. It’s getting to work with people you love. Success is connecting with the world and making people feel. It’s finding a way to bind together people who have nothing in common but a dream. It’s falling asleep at night knowing you did the best job you could. Success is joy and freedom and friendship. And success is love.
Both quotes apply to you this month. And yes, due to Pluto’s long term stay in your 10th, for a long time to come. January however gifts you with the opportunity to see how both apply to your path, your ambitions – both personal and professional, and how you lean in. We all have to pay or put in the work on some level to get what we want. That’s the sweat. The learning. The dedication. But the take out – the success, is in the connections we make. To ourselves and to others, when we achieve what we set out to do. And in Aquarius which is all about community and connections, this shows you the secret to yours.
Changes coalesce and propel you forward from the very start of the year as Mercury clears post-retro shade on the 1st. Ruler Venus lends you the ability to enchant and infuses goals with fresh creative zest as it enters your 11th (3rd). An important new friendship or contact can be forged this month. Do look to the 19th when Venus and Saturn meet up. As well as to the North Node which enters here on the 12th. There is something genuine and lasting on offer. Perhaps just in terms of friendship but also there could be the promise of more. If so, do take it that this could take a while to emerge. And simply be content to explore what’s obviously on offer for now. Without wanting to push it in any particular direction.
Mars retrograde in your 4th opposes Pluto in your 10th (3rd) which could bring in a long overdue move. Either in terms of your work or your home. What has held you back, blocked your progress, or seen you unwilling to make that definitive decision, is removed. If you’ve been coming up with all the reasons why you shouldn’t – you focus on all the reasons why you should and need to, instead. And find the latter outweighs the former. Don’t be afraid to own what’s no longer working. Happiness should be your ultimate goal and your reason to succeed. You have a fresh definition of what success looks like. And commit to investing and paying whatever that costs in terms of time and other resources.
Do keep in mind that how others see you is going to be the key to gaining whatever it is you’re aiming for. Be open to feedback. And by that, I don’t just mean from the people around you. But from the universe itself. Uranus dares you to own your uniqueness. And when you do, you not only light up but you light up your path and all others you touch. You’ll gain insight into how you are valued, seen and regarded this January. Don’t dim your light. Be at your most genuine and generous spirited.
As retro Mars backs into your 3rd (from the 6th), and the full Moon strikes this house (13th), the universe will offer up its feedback in the form of answers or forward progress. This is a fabulous full Moon to bring a project or plan to completion. To state your intentions going forward. And to take on board what you hear and are told. Are you getting positive responses? Moving ahead? Or are you being told no, held back or continuing to encounter blocks?
The Moon’s trine to Saturn in your 11th on this day tells you if what you are doing is working. Or whether or not you now need a fresh approach. Do also look to how you are accepted or treated by others over the next few days. Do you feel loved, supported and valued? If happiness is your ultimate goal, then these feelings are the key. The tight angle between ruler Venus and Jupiter in your 2nd, highlights this. Look to how you value yourself first and foremost. Because others often take their cue from us.
Push a few boundaries while the Sun is in your 9th. And don’t be afraid to move out of your comfort zone. Especially when it comes to ways you can boost your earnings or gain that credibility for what you do. The Sun moves into your 10th (19th) bringing you your yearly attainment and fame peak. As well as being the house of how high you can fly, this house also rules the status of your partner. Or potential partner if you are on the look-out. Whether your happiness/success includes a new job or a new love, now is the time to work your worth and go after what you want.
Do continue to be mindful of how you are seen. Your reputation and how you come across will continue to be a determining factor. Although we always need to remain adaptable and open, we do need to have a clear outcome in mind. And come across as serious about getting it. Otherwise we can get dismissed. Above all, look and act like you have already ‘arrived’ and have whatever it is you are aiming for. This is not just energy alignment. It’s quantum entanglement.
Your path and those of influential, powerful and successful people could cross and intertwine on the following dates: 21st (Sun conjunct Pluto), 23rd (Mercury opp retro Mars, Mercury trine Uranus), 25th (Venus trine Mars), and 29th (Mercury conjunct Pluto).
The 29th also brings the start of the Chinese New Year of the Green Wood Snake with the new Moon in your 10th. With Uranus poised to head direct the following day, this is your moment to get behind that happiness ambition and truly lean in. Take a direct approach. State your intentions right off the bat. Especially if long term love is your main takeaway. Don’t waste your time (or the other party’s), if you discover you don’t want the same thing. Simply thank them and move on. And again, this sees you get taken seriously.
January adds to your determination and showcases your strengths. When you look back later this year, you will see it marked the start of a bolder, more focussed and committed approach on your part to owning and getting what you want. It should also bring in someone who is destined to become an influential part of this process. No matter what – you’ll quickly discover there’s no going back to simply ‘settling’ or putting up with the status quo if it doesn’t add to that happiness quota. Redefine what success means. And how you go about getting it.
In a nutshell: Just what is success, Taurus? The lasting kind is being excited about what you do. And waking up each day vibrant and alive. If that’s missing, January sees you determined to seek it out. Who you know or meet holds the key. More in your 2025 forecast for your sign.

GEMINI
Climb that stairway to heaven
Set yourself free
Actions speak loudest – or the results say it all
Hey retro boss! Ruler Mercury exits retroshade from the 1st in your 7th house. Which means love and partnership matters are back on the menu for you. Singles could snag the attention of someone very special – this one could be a keeper, as Venus enters your 10th (3rd). Your career, long term path, public image and soul purpose are also in focus. Not just because Venus enhances all the above. And its meeting with Saturn in here could cue rewards and recognition heading your way. But also the arrival of the North Node (12th), aligns you with the path you destined to walk.
Your purpose, what you were sent here to do or be, and also to do it with soul and spiritual integrity. The latter being the keys to any kind of success. Kindness, empathy, compassion – these are your signatures now. Forget old outdated ideas around success at all costs or selling your soul. It’s a bit like the old game of Snakes and Ladders with the North Node in here. A ruthless approach will simply see you slide down to start again. While looking at how your success can benefit others, or giving them a hand up if you find yourself in a position to do so, sees you leap up that stairway to heaven. Do keep this in mind.
Someone may appear who is in a position to help you achieve. And if so, that’s all down to the good karma you’ve accumulated or your perseverance and dedication to date. Or it may be that the support or backing you have given a loved one is what sees them soar higher now. They get the win. But you share the credit. And the benefits. And also your take out is knowing you were the wind beneath their wings. Which makes it yours to share.
Do lean in to your retro rules. Because while Mercury is direct, Mars is backwards across your 3rd/2nd houses. And one retro truth you do embrace is that there are no short cuts. Nor does simply sitting around and waiting for something to drop into your lap get you results. Ever. You need to take action. Or set things in motion. Leveraging Jupiter in your sign – one of the luckiest transits we can experience, means following the old adage of ‘Heaven helps those who help themselves’. Going back over past actions shows you what worked – and where you could have done things differently. For a better outcome.
Keep that lexicon of retro ‘re’ words handy. Because they continue to apply. The combo of Mercury in your change sector (8th), and Mars’ opposition to Pluto (3rd), all point to projects, plans or even a relationship, which can be revived or reinjected with updated passion and meaning. If something has been hanging around since the latter part of ‘24 – perhaps because you weren’t sure of the best approach, take it you will tackle it now. The 14th also asks you take action or set something in motion to make the most of a potential around you as Venus squares up to Jupiter in your sign. You make it happen, Gemini.
Revise, relaunch, review, reclaim, reassess and as Mars re-enters your 2nd (6th), some of you may look to debt consolidation or refinancing. As with all retrogrades – steer away from the new. And most definitely, steer clear of taking out new loans or spending on big ticket items. Mars rules impulsion, confidence, passion and desire. And its retro can either bring in inertia or lack of assertiveness. Or lead us to make impulsive choices we later regret. In other words – look to what you have available, and work with that.
The full Moon in your 2nd (13th) asks you look at the real cost of those choices and decisions. And whether or not something adds real, lasting value. This full Moon can bring satisfaction and gains. But it can also show you whether or not something is really worth it. Across the 13th – 16th you may be looking closely at what you have at your disposal. If you need help with financial planning or advice, this period is ideal to seek it out. And to put things on a better footing.
Uranus is your love planet as it rules Aquarius and your 7th. It will head direct in your 12th at the end of January. You have three stand out dates for partnership matters this month. Those ‘re’ words include rebirth. Especially with Pluto around which I will discuss next. But take it that something may quite literally come back from the dead or come alive again. And this could be that old, smouldering, dormant passion between you and your present partner. Or else that eternal flame is reignited between you and your ex. Look to the 13th when the Sun in your 8th trines Uranus. The 23rd, when Mercury in your 8th does the same while opposing retro Mars. And the 25th when Venus trines retro Mars from your 10th.
Let’s talk Pluto in Aquarius and your 9th house. This is a long term – almost 20 year, transit. It’s important to keep Pluto in mind at all times. Why? Because as Pluto moves through this section of your chart it will trine your Gemini factors. Bringing in once in a lifetime opportunities for freedom and to go after what you want.
You are going to discover this Pluto energy is powerfully free flowing and releasing. It entices you to enter unknown territory. Frees you from restriction. Offers up solutions and powers up your optimism and inventive streak. You dare now. Depending on how many Gemini factors you have – and these includes a Gemini ascendant/descendent, IC/MC, asteroids and Nodes, most of you will experience more than one Pluto game-changing moment between now and 2043.
Right now, those of you with early (0-2) degree factors in Gemini will experience the biggest changes. But for all of you – take it the start of 2025 opens doors and ushers in positive change. Once the Sun reaches your 9th (19th), it meets Pluto on the 21st. Mercury arrives on the 28th and encounters Pluto the day of the new Moon in here (29th). Anything related to travel, expansion, studies, people and businesses overseas, the mass media, the law, sports, the outdoors and large animals (bigger than say a sheep), are in focus for you. This sees you emboldened, fired up by a bold vision and ready to venture out or do what it takes to live it for real.
The new Moon also ushers in the Chinese New Year of the Green Wood Snake. Offering up transmutation and the ability to slide into something freedom creating. Something on offer is set to take you further. Shed your old skin, Gemini. On with the new.
In a nutshell: The end of Mercury’s retroshadow put love and partnership matters back on the New Year’s menu. Above all, no more talk,Gemini. Actions speak louder than words. And that goes for others to make good on what they promise. More in your Gemini 2025 horoscope.

CANCER
Love thrives on healthy boundaries
What’s your story, morning glory?
Go further in 2025
Retro Mars returns to your sign this month (6th). Mars rules pleasure, romance, passion, creativity and children for you. Along with Pluto. This is because both rule Scorpio and your 5th house. A key date for you will be the 3rd when Mars still in your 2nd, opposes Pluto now in your 8th. It’s Astro 101. Whatever house that planet rules in our charts – when it’s retro, we need to apply the brakes. Expect this to usher in the start of a change or transformation around the above. But this won’t however be finalised until after Mars heads direct and returns to your 2nd to oppose Pluto one more time.
Children or young people may need your guidance. And do keep in mind that no matter how much rebellious angst they may direct our way, deep down inside teenagers view healthy boundaries as benchmarks of love. In other words – don’t be afraid to set them if needed. And the same may apply to adults as well. Especially when it comes to romantic partners. Don’t be shy about letting others know where that line is. And if they have crossed it. But do keep it in proportion to what is happening at the time. And not about the 200 times you let it slide prior to this.
Needless to say, with one of your planets of attraction and pleasure backwards and in your 1st, it’s not an ideal time to go looking for new love. You or even the other party, can change their mind or it simply fizzles out when Mars picks up speed again. However, the Sun in your 7th right up until the 19th means this is your yearly partnership peak. And along with your planet of long term love and devotion – Saturn in your 9th, points to the journey you and another are on together. Or the road you take next in search of The One.
We’re heading into the Big Switch for ‘25. When major planets leave one sign for another. The coming year will see Saturn and Neptune move out of Pisces and your 9th – and into Aries and your status sector. Uranus will move from your 11th and into Gemini and your 12th. And in June, Jupiter will bless you with its benevolent and open-handed generosity for the first time in 12 years when it arrives in your sign. We don’t usually see so many major planets change signs in a 12 month period. And for all of us, these shifts will mark the start of major new cycle of experience in a given area. You can read more in your Yearly Forecast. And throughout the year in your monthly and weekly horoscopes.
Although there is a slow start to ‘25, you are more attuned to it than most other signs, thanks to Jupiter boosting your native intuitive and psychic abilities in your 12th. Jupiter’s presence will allow you to navigate the stops/starts of this Mars retro with ease if you simply heed the need to adjust your speed. You are also then perfectly positioned to embrace the first big shift which occurs this month – the arrival of the North Node in Pisces and your 9th (which Jupiter rules along with Neptune). The Nodes move backwards. So, it moves from your career and rep 10th into your travel and exploratory 9th. (Which puts the South Node in Virgo and your 3rd). On the horizon for you – travel, opportunity, karma linked to far away people and places, your beliefs, learning, big ideas and bold moves. Are you ready to go there?
Venus also joins Saturn and Neptune in your 9th (3rd). Travel for learning, career and work may feature now. There’s more than one kind of travel however. That’s the exploration of our past and the journey we undertake towards understanding ourselves. This may form a key part of what you do this January. You may well harness Jupiter’s enhanced insight in your 12th, and with an angel on your shoulder whispering in your ear, use what you have learned from your past to re-imagine your future.
This months lends itself to you writing your story to date. Perhaps from the perspective of being your own biographer. You feel all the emotions. But you are also the observer. And able to make sense of your narrative to date. Especially when it comes to you and others. Doing this from a storytelling perspective, without judgement allows you to see your lifepath to date as a wonderful unfolding. It also allows you to reclaim your own power and narrative if you feel you’ve lost them. And allows you to move ahead into a clear vision of what you want as you begin anew in the next 12 months.
There’s no better time to do this than the beginning of January. Plus if you need to share insights with your significant other, Mercury now in your 7th along with the Sun and Mercury’s opposition to retro Mars (16th and 23rd), allows for openness and candid sharing. Again, without judgement. The beautiful alignment between Venus in your 9th and Mars on the 25th, points to escaping the realm of the past and looking ahead to the future.
A fabulous culmination and possibly even a victory lap is yours under the full Moon in your sign (13th). Take a bow and be ready to undertake something impressive. Look back to your birthday cycle last year. What did you set in motion back then? What features under this full Moon and its positively illuminating trine to Saturn, may have it roots back then. All eyes may be on you now. And yes, decisions around partnerships and your love journey – or the next stage of it, may be the other factor.
This full Moon marks the point where you prepare to undertake another move forward. Check back again in six months. Keep a journal or write a letter to future you to be read in six months time when your birthday cycle begins. That way you can keep track of just how you are authoring your own unfolding.
Although new love needs to be treated with caution, there are deeper dimensions to be explored in present ones. Again, this can come about from your willingness to rewrite your own story into a narrative that makes sense and explains your journey to date. You then understand how you have the power to craft how it unfolds for the future as the Sun crosses into your 8th (19th).
Pluto has now unpacked its full power potential in this house. And undergoes a full fusion process by the Sun (21st), and then Mercury (29th). Your 8th is about more than just your money. Although the new Moon (Chinese New Year of the Green Wood Snake), on the 29th, offers up an opportunity to get to grips with your income, assets and even see off debt if this has been an issue. But most importantly, this is your house of desire and your deepest needs. Exploring your narrative and if needed, changing this up, hands you the power to be the author of your own story. And to share this with those who matter to create a better understanding. Stick with your story not just this month, but during the Mars retro, Cancer. There’s a whole new book of intimacy waiting to be written.
In a nutshell: You need love with depth and crave soul revealing, real intimacy, Cancer. You’ll take an unusually fearless approach when it comes to getting this. Boundaries allow you to be open and vulnerable. There’s the paradox. Don’t be afraid to enforce them. More in your Cancer 2025 forecast.

LEO
Time for drama-free love
Your energy is your psychic radar
New year, new era – new way of relating
Ditch the drama, break through those barriers, and make a renewed vow to the power of love in ‘25, Leo. Uranus is your love planet as it rules Aquarius and your 7th. It will head direct in your 10th at the end of January. Look to the 13th when the Sun in your 6th trines Uranus. The 23rd, when Mercury in your 7th does the same while opposing retro Mars in your 12th. And the 25th when Venus trines retro Mars from your 8th. If something revives it is because it still has life and meaning for you. However – don’t even be tempted to try to jolt it back into life if it really has flat-lined.
Ding dong – ring in the relationship changes! You are headed into your annual peak attraction and partnership cycle. And one like no other now Pluto is unpacked for an almost 20 year long stay in your 7th. Love is set to go deeper, transformative and far more resonant. Superficiality? So no. If single you are seeking quantum entanglement with another. The profound alchemy
There’s a big difference between soul-reforging intensity – and being addicted to pain and drama. If our wires get crossed, we can end up believing that ‘real’ love should hurt. Or be one, long recycled soap opera episode. That plays out the same way even if someone new is cast in it. Take it that this long drawn out Mars retro will expose any of these themes and see you ditch the drama. Simply so you can be free of them in order to experience something more authentic.
Looking for something new? Mercury clears retro-shade in your 5th from the 1st. Love planet Jupiter sits in your goals sector. And also your house of friendships. While your 7th is the house of the collective. This tells you to explore new social spheres, experiment with new ways of connecting with others – and also to let go of set expectations. Be willing to experiment and simply explore.
The promises we make and have made. They resonate across time and space. And no matter what, sooner or later we have to make good on them. There’s no escaping karma. Kismet or what we think of as fate, is simply what keeps the score. Look to what you entered in to, agreed on or began on these dates if you are old enough: June 2006 – December 2007, December 1987 – May 1989, and April 1969 to November 1970.
This is when the North Node was last in Pisces and your 8th house. And the South Node in Virgo and your 2nd. January 6th marks the North Nodes return. Bringing pledges full circle and either the promise of re-avowing or else releasing and letting go. You may marry or alternatively, separate or divorce. Move in together. Or enter into a long standing agreement either solo or jointly by taking out a mortgage or loan.
The North Node in here can mark a major transition from one stage of life to the next one. Again, if you were 18 or over during the above cycles, look at your life stage thresholds. Leaving home to go study at university is one good example. Transitting from adolescence to adulthood. Being responsible for yourself to becoming a parent and being responsible for a whole other life. Single to settled and then back to single again. Graduation. Promotion. Retirement. And any event which takes you from one stage to another in either love, finances or family dynamics.
So, take it you will transition from one stage to another one in the next 18-20 months. Whether you are starting out for the first time. Or going around again for renewal. A heightened awareness around your choices accompanies this. You look at what’s on offer mindfully and with one eye to your long term future. Expect positive transformation around a key area or issue. Fate places something in your path or marks the road between one situation and the next stage for you.
You’ll see this begin to happen mind-month as Venus moves through this house from the 3rd. Look to the full Moon in your 12th (13th) which trines Saturn. And then to the meeting between Venus and Saturn on the 19th. Something is illuminated or comes to light which eases you from one phase to the next. Or makes that decision easy for you. Yes, you may be feeling unusually fragile and emotionally porous. If so, don’t be afraid to unplug. And do take all the time you need to process and in making that smart choice. Do take it you will make the right one.
While Mars is retrograde do pay close attention to your energy. This is your guide when it comes to what to continue to stick with. Or what you need to let go of. Do not push against this. Lack of energy and impulsion indicates an absence of passion. If your heart is no longer in something, then do heed this. Also, if something ends see this as a kindness – even if it may not be what you want at the time. You are being protected from investing more of your precious time, love or other resources, into something that simply is no longer right for you.
2025 is boundary breaking on so many levels, Leo. Love and solutions lift you higher. And yes, you will only be drawn to those which do. Ruler the Sun enters your 7th (19th) and meets Pluto on the 21st. Mercury reaches here on the 28th. While the 29th brings a new Moon plus a Mercury/Pluto conjunction. Settled or single – friendships may be the new love interest for you. But take it if you are single and someone has yet to appear – that they will. Again, go with where the energy is flowing and don’t push against or resist the current.
Right now, you are a powerful magnet for what you desire – especially once the new Moon appears. But understand that what you want may manifest in a new and different way, or be found down a path you would not have expected it to be. Again, the key is going with that energy. If it fires you up, makes your heart beat faster – in a healthy way – that’s acting as your own personal satnav guiding you towards who or what is perfect for you to transition from one phase – to the next brilliant one, Leo!
In a nutshell: Pluto and your ruler the Sun in your partnership zone bring you the power of transformative love. Think limitless, clean energy that’s drama free. Ditch the old patterns for something new. It’s more than just a new year. It’s a brand new era. Your 2025 forecast has more.

VIRGO
Trust that destiny has a plan
Don’t let the past define your future
Who writes the Book of Love? You do now
Once upon Your Time, Virgo! Your time is now as 2025 begins. There’s always a story happening in the sky. Yours which is written in the stars this month – and for the next 18-20, involves partners, marriage, duos, duets, double acts and duels of all descriptions. Destiny – whether you believe in it or not, and the divine plan for you and another. The happily ever after. The once upon a time when it comes to soul contracts. What has been ‘written in the stars’ for you and someone else.
So, embrace the cosmic truth your story is not insignificant. And that if the universe does indeed have a plan for you which involves someone else, how comfortable you are in simply letting go and opening up to right timing. In other words – love happens. So just let it. And knowing that gives you all the security you need to attract it. Or deepen that present union.
That’s not saying you can afford to take your current relationship for granted if it needs your signature mix of devotion, focus and healing TLC. Or that if you are seeking any kind of partner you can just be a shut-in and still expect them to find you. It simply doesn’t work like that. But what it does mean is you can stop the struggle. Especially if looking for love has led you to trying things that you simply don’t enjoy. This is your story. It’s meant to be lived – and loved, your way. And yes, thanks to the North Node’s arrival – if your happily ever after has been just so much once upon a time, you can engage in rewriting it from here on in.
Venus moves into Pisces and your 7th (3rd) – two days after ruler Mercury shrugs off the shadows of its past retrograde in your 4th. Your love planets – yes, you have two – are Neptune which will enhance Venus’s ability to bring about harmony and attract, and also Jupiter – presently in Gemini and your 10th. This is because both planets rule Pisces and your 7th house. So, a quick astro hack is not just to look at what Venus is doing – but also these two. Smart Virgos (is there any other kind?!), will have noted that right now, you have mutable, fast moving love energy. It may occasionally challenge you, but it also enables you to change up patterns in relationships which may have held you back. And also enhance your awareness of them if you have been flying blind up until now.
So, harness your trust in something bigger. Let go of any tendencies to over-think, be in your head too much (because this is heart-centered work after all!), and any need to try to second guess the universe (you can’t, so don’t go there). Instead, make your story one of active but flowing participant. Invoke the curiosity and playfulness of the true lover. And do in the cycle ahead understand that we can share a destiny with someone – but there are never any guarantees. And that a soul mate takes many forms. And can even be brand spanking new in this lifetime. How’s that for a plot twist, Virgo?!
Be ready to let go and let flow from the 8th when ruler Mercury joins the Sun in your 5th. This combined with your loaded 7th house hands you one of the biggest and most effortless kick-starts to a year you have experienced for some time. The simplest way is to harness your mutability and capacity to simply Go With It!
Do look at where you may hold unconscious and manifestation blocking beliefs around what you can and cannot have, do or achieve. Not just around relationships, but all other areas as well. Retro Mars across your 12/11th houses is all about exposing those contradictions. The things you think or do but actually cannot see when it comes to the disconnect. Do watch the 3rd when retro Mars still in your 12th, opposes Pluto in your 6th. You will gain further clarification around this when Mars heads direct again.
It moves back into your 11th from the 6th. And this along with the first full Moon of the year in here on the 13th, shows you clearly if you are thinking or doing something that gets in the way of a goal. You may also see where you have believed what someone has told you over the truth. This can cut across personal relationships or just back to those ideas in general. It’s a good time to examine whether those feels are based on actual facts. And whose fairy tale you may have bought into. Look to the 19th to show you what’s real and what isn’t.
Goals are likely to change and shift along with this. You’ll be exploring new avenues when it comes to how you can reach them. And also looking to your social circle and rebooting this as needed. Just continue to be aware for the time that Mars is retro in your 11th – some friendships may not go the distance now. But the ones that remain are certain and your greatest assets.
You are in a grand cycle of empowered focus, productivity and can-do conquering when it comes to your work and wellbeing. Pluto in your 6th powers your everyday habits and turns you into the ultimate taskmaster. Procrastination simply doesn’t appear in your vocabulary. Again, there’s a story unfolding around the simple things in your life. It’s planetary strength training. A new kind of fitness regimen around what you engage in, where you are and what you work at.
Expect new beginnings around your day job (paid or unpaid), studies, your attitude to health and your holy Mind Body Spirit trinity, your routine, diet, exercise, pets if you have them, bosses, co-workers, employees. Above all – what you choose to accept, do and what you surround yourself with. Bring meaning into every aspect of your daily life as the Sun lands in your 6th (19th).
If you are seeking work or a new job, you are now entering one of the best cycles of the year for positive change. The Sun meets Pluto (21st), and you are not only in a position to crush and conquer those outstanding tasks. But also completely reform your routine or work.
Your 6th is your house of devotion and responsibilities. Don’t forget to extend this to yourself. The new Moon in here (29th), appears the same day as ruler Mercury meets Pluto. Time job applications, decluttering tasks or decisions around wellness or those habits for this day if you can. Your determination means improvements you make are going to stick. Look to that work/life balance. Fine tune what needs to be done with what you want to do – and find a way to do both. Above all – show up for yourself during the next month. There’s two stories running side by side. You and another. And simply you. Both are equally important. Simply show up – and give each equal priority.
In a nutshell: The North Node returns to Pisces and your 7th for the first time in almost two decades. Destiny, fate, karma, kismet – don’t doubt for one second it doesn’t have a plan for you, Virgo. Your fate is intertwined with others. But your past doesn’t dictate what that future is. More in your 2025 yearly forecast.

LIBRA
Make you the object of your total devotion
To get it – know you own it already
If there’s a bright centre to the universe – it’s you
We’re in big retroweather and it’s building even as Mercury ends its retro-shade in your 3rd (1st). Mars is backwards and don’t forget – Mars is your love planet. So, this should tell you all you need to know about partnership progress as ‘25 begins. Focus on the love you have, not your love future just for now, Libra. Especially as we are headed into a Venus retrograde as well. For now, your ruler remains direct and lands in your 6th. Joining a massive line up which by the 12th includes Saturn, Neptune and the spinning point of destiny – the North Node.
Venus will engage with all of these as it moves through this house. And then again when it retrogrades in Aries and returns to your 6th. Making this a pivotal point where true self-care becomes your priority. Not the Tiktok kind.
How you have cared for yourself, your holy trinity of mind, body and spirit, comes full circle. Don’t forget, the North Node allows for a complete closure and reset if this is needed. You also have incredible reserves of self-discipline if you do need to make changes to that routine or regimen. That’s thanks to Saturn in here. The 19th offers up an opportunity to cement something – either with your work. Or establishing better habits. You can look to how you can enhance something you do every day as Venus and Saturn meet. This is also the best day of the new year so far to apply for that new position. Or to get behind those intentions to live your best life.
Your awareness of how healthy and vibrant you feel and the ripple effect this has into other areas of your life increases. It’s cause and effect playing out. You will block off energy drains. aBe they in over-thinking or worrying, or investing in situations, habits and even other people, who vacuum the life out of you. Take it this is a process that will be with you for many months. But do be willing to immerse yourself in it right off the bat, Libra. Above all – don’t allow yourself to simply drift.
The connection between feeling at your best and enjoying what life has to gift you now will be pretty well unmissable. Again, that is what drives any shift in your priorities. Let’s talk about Mars retrograde. It begins the month retrograde in Leo and your sector of friendships and goals. Then from the 6th it re-enters Cancer and your 10th. Do you feel your present trajectory in life offers you the rewards you aspire to? Or are you being blocked? Do you no longer feel fuelled and fired up when it comes to your ambitions? How about those choices, Libra? Are you owning them or blaming anyone and anything from others to the dice simply being loaded against you?
Mars may be backwards but its job here is to remind you that you own it. You are the boss of your future. During this cycle, step up and steer your life in the direction you want it to go. Take yourself seriously. Because if you don’t – nobody else will. You can break free of old beliefs around not being enough. This is especially important ahead of the year’s big switches. Which will see Neptune and Saturn move into Aries and your 7th. And Jupiter move into the house retro Mars presently inhabits – your 10th. Knowing what you want, understanding you are able to attain it, is your key to getting it. Crush this one now and clear the way for success during the Mars retro.
Your dates to see how well you’re making it – in the area which right now you are most invested in, will be the 13th and 19th. The 13th delivers a full Moon in your 10th which trines Saturn. The Moon is your career planet. While Saturn is all about those serious moves. Rewards and recognition could be yours. Especially as ruler Venus will meet Saturn on the 19th. This Moon has you distancing yourself from your emotions. And taking a more pragmatic approach. Especially if you have been continuing to face problems at work or with your employer. If this is the case, you’ll see this as one more good reason to move in a new direction. Remember – improvements are coming. And the only way for you will be up. And up to you to make them.
Get ready to launch your spectacular! You’re a bright beacon of attraction as the Sun moves into your 5th (19th). Pluto is now set for a 19 year stay in here. And has you unleashing your inner superstar. Or even your outer one as this is where you get to stand out, shine and get noticed. This is the energy of the Great Attractor and a supermassive black hole combined. Yours to play with and magically wield. But do keep this energy ‘clean’. Truth, beauty, love and above all, sharing the spotlight when it seeks you out. And your joy.
Act like a Queen who knows what they are. A new idea takes hold for a brand new era. And that could just be you showcasing how you now see yourself. As Mercury joins Pluto and the Sun in here, if you are engaged in creative work – you may hit on ideas which resonate with others on a very deep level. Are you seeking attention? Want to stand out? You won’t be afraid to explore concepts that take you into previously taboo territory, attract controversy or simply push people’s buttons. You hit on something that resonates within the collective or a particular niche. You’ll go there.
The magical new Moon (29th), offers up the start of something far more transformative than anything that’s appeared to date. Plus it shouldn’t take long for you to see this appear. What you can conceive of, you can create. This will usher in a person, opportunity, friendship or platform from which you can take yourself or what you do, further. This is your house of luck as well as love. Just take it the wheel is spinning your way now, Libra.
In a nutshell: You’ll prioritise self-care and wellbeing over all else as ‘25 begins. Because you understand that unless you feel your best, you can’t embrace all that the universe wants you to experience. It’s a cycle of attraction like no other. Radiate to active it, Libra. All year long. Your yearly horoscope dishes the tea.

SCORPIO
I know nothing stays the same
But if you’re willing to play the game
It’s coming around again
Carly Simon. Coming Around
Old ruler Mars opposes new ruler Pluto on the 3rd. You’ve already experienced one Mars/Pluto opposition but this took place across Cancer/Capricorn and your 9th/3rd houses just prior to Pluto changing signs. So, this is one of two oppositions between your rulers to take place this retro and your 10th/4th axis. Do take note of what occurs now. It may not be completed or finalised until Mars heads direct and the second conjunction. But the events will be connected.
Many of you could be looking at a move – either of home or even around your career. There could be an intense situation unfolding within your family dynamic, at work or which touches on your public image or status. It’s important not to rush matters. Or feel pressured to do so. If you are a regular visitor then you know I always like to remind people that the old rulerships still apply. Even to those signs with new ruling planets. You, Aquarius and Pisces being the three. So, when any ruler old or new is backwards, you can feel uncertain, that your mojo is missing, or in the case of Mars, end up acting without thinking things through property. Usually the latter is caused by giving in to others when you know you shouldn’t! Mars retro can make it hard to keep those boundaries intact.
However, Mars retro shows you where your eternal flame still burns. While we can say it’s not a great time to start something new – especially around romance which I will touch on shortly, it is a good time to reclaim a lost love for that project, passion or plan. And yes, in some cases, this can even see a past love reignite. If you have felt you are on the wrong path in life – or even in the wrong place, take it that by the time Mars is direct again and free of retroshadow, you will at the very least, be heading in the right direction. Don’t be afraid to backtrack.
Don’t push your feelings aside as unimportant. Or shy away from having that talk if its needed. If something has been on your mind or simply feeling a bit ‘off’ since October, use January’s energy to tackle it. Some of you may even be considering therapy or simply self-help reflection. As another Mars retro benefit is that it can allow for deep healing to take place around old wounds. Especially when it occurs at the same time as January’s nodal shift (12th).
The Nodes move backwards through the signs. And take 18-19 years to complete a full circuit of our charts. Old wounds which have held you back can undergo a deep and resonant healing as the North Node arrives in Pisces (12th). The North Node joins Venus (from the 3rd), as well as Saturn and Neptune. This isn’t just your house of conception, babies, children and those younger than you. But it also rules the child within. So, if that inner child carries wounds from your past, which have been impacting on not just the present but your future, you will be able to heal and care for it in the way that’s been missing. This is self-parenting for the Node New Age.
The divine spark of joy within you is reignited. You are set free to find your bliss. If you are old enough, look back to the following years – June 2006 – December 2007, December 1987 – May 1989, and April 1969 to November 1970. What did you ‘conceive’ of then? What did you effortlessly attract? What opportunities appeared and which ones did you embrace? Do you retain any regrets from any of those periods? And if you had a second chance – what would you do differently? And do you believe the universe constantly sends us chances? Because if you do, fate and luck are one and the same now.
Of course, for some of you, this will be the first time you will jump into the ocean of fated potentials as a fully fledged adult. Look to the following themes whether this is your starting point or you are literally ‘coming around again’. Romance, dating and mating. Parenting, co-parenting, adoption. The fountain of youth. Hobbies. The arts and creative self-expression. What makes you stand out, be noticed and shine. Lucky breaks. Holidays and pleasure seeking. Affairs of the heart. Eternal triangles and throuples. Fame and attention. Star quality. The effortless. And what makes your heart sing be this a person or simply that life-long activity or passion. This isn’t about the pursuit of happiness. But being able to catch and keep it. This is your season to slay!
Venus is your love planet. And also your planet of spiritual truth. Why? Because it rules Taurus and your 7th house. And Libra and your 12th. Neptune is your planet of romance and attraction. You will now be looking at love for the long haul. And also to fall in love with someone real rather than simply a fantasy. Do look to the Venus/Saturn encounter on the 19th for the ring of truth around love.
The 12th – 13th and the 21st – 25th are stand out periods this January when it comes to living that bliss but without the illusion shattering return to earth. Mars trines Neptune on the 12th while the Sun in your 3rd trines Uranus in your 7th (13th), and the full Moon brings about a leap of breathless daring which could just pay off for you. Don’t be afraid to say what’s on your mind or simply take a chance.
Looking to attract? The more boldly authentic you are – the more effortlessly this becomes. The 23rd has Mercury oppose Mars and trine Uranus. Keep that high fidelity vibe going. The more confident you become being simply you, the faster the results appear. The 23rd – 25th could see singles snare the attention of that suitor with whom they share a spooky almost psychic attunement. Settleds recover their divine spark. And yes, this is one of those periods where something could ‘come around again’ and offer you a second or even third chance.
Mercury in your 3rd (Jan 8 – 28), adds the momentum to that message, project or plan. Do harness it along with the Sun in here to push ahead with job applications, writing, image making, content creation and studies. Short trips are favoured. With longer journeys on the cards for you in the year ahead once Jupiter reaches Cancer and your 9th in June.
From the 19th, the Sun moves into your 4th and encounters Pluto on the 21st. Mercury does the same on the 29th. The day a new Moon in here marks the start of the Chinese New Year of the Green Wood Snake. More emotional satisfaction is coming. This ties in with that moving experience I promised you was on its way at the start of this forecast. Or one which expands your lifestyle and living arrangements. Delivering more satisfaction and also growth. If its all domestic drudgery and very little bliss, this is the point where you commit to changing this. I could say this is the beginning of a major growth spurt. Wait until spring and you’ll be in full bloom, Scorpio.
In a nutshell: Old ruler Mars returns to Cancer and your 9th this month. Progress may slow but that may just end up breaking down barriers and putting you ahead of the game later. Time to put a ring on something. That thing you do that gains you attention. That love interest. Or be ready to ring in the changes instead. Your 2025 forecast has more.

SAGITTARIUS
Go for the burn
Don’t have it all. Have what really matters
Pedal to the metal – it’s hot pursuit January!
Love planet Mercury escapes the last retro shadows (1st) and gifts you back your glow-up, Sag. However, Mars rules romance as well as your pursuit of what you love, and it backs into your 8th (6th), but opposes Pluto in your 3rd just prior to this. Even with ruler Jupiter’s boundless blessings continuing in your 7th, this tells you that you’re going to have to make the effort to get what you want. Nothing happens without your investment in terms of time, love or taking action.
Keep this in mind this January. On a personal level, you’ll feel liberated from the narky stop/start progress that has slowed you down since December. On the other hand – you can’t afford to simply cruise. Or have the attitude that things will somehow miraculously work out. Especially when it comes to ensuring your needs are met. The start of 2025 is all about the dialogue, the conversation and even the fire starting idea. What makes you burn with passion and ignites the desire to take action. That’s your fuel right there. What do you need next? Love warrior level courage! Strangely enough Mars retro means you’ll find yours if it’s been missing. Along with that mojo as well.
We’ve a big switch year ahead for you. It offers a direct route to your dreams, a rare opportunity to find your centre of belonging. Gifts you a magnetic allure and a fearless desire to embrace change.
Let’s bring it on home baby by first focussing on the love that’s closest to home for you. Your base, house, apartment, fortress of solitude, retreat, home port. Even world citizens like you – you need that port. Roots and origins, home and away, moving, emigration, becoming a digital nomad, sticking to your neighbourhood, your lifestyle, family of origin or your urban one – all are up for a major renovation if not relocation, as the North Node enters Pisces and your 4th. Joining Venus (3rd), Saturn and Neptune.
Look back at the following periods when the North Node was in Pisces, and the South Node in Virgo and your 10th. June 2006 – December 2007, December 1987 – May 1989, and April 1969 to November 1970. What changed around your living arrangements, family dynamics or even your career path? Because this is your house of roots, the usual rule with the Nodes doesn’t apply. As you need to be old enough to make your own choices. But this is the house of family so family karma applies. So, childhood relocations do apply here. And some of you will be working with family karma during this cycle which lasts about 18 months.
Do you burn for it? Or want to burn it down? That’s what you are being asked now. Look deep into your soul at what frees it but also what satisfies it as well. There is always two sides of your nature that you are seeking to please. Your wild pony side and the need like all of us, to know you belong to someone, somewhere or something. If you can find the way to balance this duality, then truly – your destination is the stars, Sag.
You of all signs, are the one most able to unlock the secret of the card of The Lovers in the Tarot. You know intuitively that you need to be in sync with your choices. And know that something always has to give in order for you to get. With Mars, the ruler of attraction and love, backwards across your 9th/8th houses, you’ll look to those desires and what you give a little in order to get a lot. But also where you no longer burn and need as a result, to let go.
Do your home work around this leading up to the full Moon in your 8th (13th). Remember, sometimes we have to go look for our life. Or even seek out our ‘family’ if our origin one was unable to give us what we needed. Decisions will be made which when you look back, took hold during this cycle. But any unmet needs or dissatisfaction around living arrangements or even your work will surface under this full Moon.
One planet to rule them all, Jupiter continues to play Fat Cupid for you in your partnership zone right up until the middle of ‘25. It is also retrograde atm. Again, this is about knowing that you can have what you want – but you have to make the effort. And also bear in mind you will have to trade off something in return. But the massive gains outweigh this. If that fellow free spirited mischief maker, collaborator or traveller on life’s journey has yet to reveal themselves – don’t worry. They will. Being in the right place and making space for them is a part of this process. Look to the day after the full Moon in particular when Venus squares Jupiter as to what needs to be cleared away to make room for love to move in.
Decisions can be made from the 19th when Venus and Saturn meet in your 4th. And the Sun moves from your 2nd and into your 3rd of ideas, neighbourhoods, writing, commerce, commuting and the internet. All now powered by Pluto. The window or the 23rd – 25th sees you commit to a change or be ready to launch, update, sign on the dotted line or apply. Others may sign up for a course of study. A particular area or subject may prove to be the turning point or a compelling focus for you. This extends to what you say, share or send out.
Your online profile, your channel, podcast, blog or website – your reach and engagement expands. If you are having face to face meetings – especially across the 28th – 29th when Mercury lands in here and has power talks with Pluto, what you say has the ability to resonate deeply with others. You leave them in no doubt of your serious sincerity. The story you weave is immersive and about all – compelling.
You have almost two decades ahead of you to explore the power of your ideas. You crave deep, resonant conversation. And your innate Sag ability to cut to the chase and say it like it is, is increased. Yes, there are those out there who may find your unfiltered approach confronting. But equally others who find this refreshingly direct. Get to the point is your mantra.
The new Moon (29th), marks the beginning of the Chinese New Year of the Green Wood Snake. And your start date for that project or plan, Sag. Time to hit the share or submit button. To shout out that message. To speak, write or call. Above all, be loud and proud about your goals and intentions. Some of you may sign important contracts, agreements or papers in the next two weeks. And if so, in some way they will contribute to your feeling of moving towards where you want to get to. Either physically, materially or emotionally. It’s also a good time to upgrade your devices, buy a bike or a new car, book that trip or even buy that horse. You’re on the move and there’s no stopping you or your message, going further.
In a nutshell: Passion gets behind your ideas, projects and plans. If you have something to share, send or say, you’ll be 100% behind it. Or else no longer invested. You’re not interested in simply waiting for things to happen. You have ignition, Sag. Your 2025 forecast points to the road ahead.

CAPRICORN
Do the self-worth work!
Erase those contradictory messages
Get talking
Big conversations can take place this month as Venus moves into your 3rd (3rd), along with the North Node (12th). Both join your ruler Saturn and also Neptune in here. You are one of the signs whose love planet never retrogrades. That’s because it’s the Moon which rules Cancer and your 7th. However, you don’t get a Get Out of Jail Free card when it comes to escaping confusion. You have eclipses to deal with instead. Which is why as a general rule of thumb, you should never make a big relationship decision or even look to date, under any kind of eclipse.
Right now, we are eclipse free. But keep in mind that when the Nodes change signs, so does the eclipse axis. Look at conversations and contracts that had lasting impact during the previous North Node in Pisces cycles. June 2006 – December 2007, December 1987 – May 1989, and April 1969 to November 1970. What did you agree to or sign your name on the dotted line? Conversations and contracts, as well as writing, speaking, studying, travel, siblings and last time round – the internet. All these will play a pivotal role again.
Up for discussion in some form – how you work your worth. And how you are valued. Especially in any kind of partnership situation. Many of you will still be working with Pluto residue leftover from its time in your sign. You also now have Mars retrograde returning to Cancer and your 7th (from the 6th). This year will see Jupiter – planet of abundance, opportunity, expansion and many blessings, enter Cancer for the first time in 12 years. It will offer up solutions, new and highly beneficial double act dynamics, and bring about renewed togetherness for existing couples. So, see the start of the year as your opportunity to work through any remaining issues and to prepare yourself for the kind of love experience you’ve always dreamed of. And as with everything – it begins within you.
Do address those issues especially with partners and those close to you, Capricorn. Above all, don’t allow things to fester. Especially if you have felt something’s been ‘off’ since last October. Don’t allow doubt to creep in. Or buy in to being told you are exaggerating or this is all in your mind. Stonewalling, gaslighting and diversion tactics are red flags. And also signs you need to pay close attention. Best times for discussions are the 13th which is the day of the full Moon in your 7th. It trines ruler Saturn while the Sun in your 1st trines Uranus in your love zone. You are able to take a different approach to matters than you usually would.
This may also usher in a new connection for some of you. And if so, expect them to be a refreshing change from the people you have dated in the past. That difference could turn into something lasting. Your other key date for conversations and significant connections is the 19th when Venus and Saturn meet in your 3rd.
Work your worth. For all that you’re worth. Pluto has now left you for keeps. And will be in Aquarius and your 2nd house for the next 19 years. In mythology, Pluto rules the underworld. That’s where all the riches are to be mined, Capricorn. So, when Pluto is in a money house in our charts, we very often gain access to more resources. Pluto opens the vault doors to us. Knowing ahead of this that we are worth it, means that when we get it, we keep it.
You are the sign who understands you have to work for it. That there are no short cuts or get rich quick schemes. Just hard work and dedication. But this does need to be underpinned by a very strong value system. One where you know what you deserve. Otherwise you can get taken advantage of. There are plenty of people out there who work hard. But their lack of self-confidence means they are afraid to ask for what they are entitled to. Or even look to another source for it. This cuts across all areas of life. From income and earnings to how others treat us as your 2nd house rules relationships that are assets to you. Or they should be.
Ensure your values are shored up as you commence the Now Age of Aquarius. Look also to your ability to accept and receive. Again, if we secretly harbour doubts as to our worth, even if we manifest what we want, we can reject it or sabotage it because deep down we believe we don’t deserve to have it.
This is what psychologists call ‘Cognitive Dissonance’. When we hold two conflicting views or values in our mind. You want something but believe you can’t or shouldn’t have it. And the struggle here is very real if this is happening within us. It prevents us from being the magical creators of our lives. And keeps us from living our best ones. Lucky for you, Pluto in your 2nd along with retro Mars backing into your 7th (from the 6th), hands you the power to understand where you may be running two conflicting tapes. And presses the re-record for you.
It will also show you where you have compromised too much or simply ‘sold out’. Gifting too much of yourself. Without getting the same in return. Both Pluto and Mars along with your ruler Saturn, are all about the boundaries when it comes to either not putting them in or allowing others to stray too far over. And this can be as big as putting up with someone’s continued disrespect and bad behaviour to that boss blocking your promotion. Right down to the division of who does the chores. Just take it – all demonstrate where you sit with your own self-worth, Capricorn. Adjust those settings as needed.
Pluto says there’s no need to continue to be short-changed. This may be literal with many of you if money is an issue. Take it that you can begin to make inroads to abundance and real emotional wealth as in how you are treasured and regarded, from the 19th. And yes, some of you may hit the mother lode during this Pluto cycle. Either in love or money. So, doesn’t it make sense to do the self worth work?
Along with this comes a seismic shift within you as the Sun leaves you for your 2nd and meets Pluto on the 21st. This is all about the power of discernment. Which is replacing any dissonance now. You’ve another key date of attraction, release and even surprise developments ahead of the new Moon in your 2nd (29th). It’s also your opportunity to demonstrate how well you’ve embraced your sense of self-worth. Discernment means that even if we are offered something, we weigh up whether or not its right for us. And if we come to the conclusion it isn’t – we graciously let it go. Secure in the knowledge that what’s more worthy and fitting will appear. As opposed to simply thinking we should grab it because it’s all we gonna get!
The 21st has Mercury trine Uranus from your sign and then oppose retro Mars. While the 25th has Venus in your 3rd trine Mars. You and another find yourselves on the same page. And mirroring each others value systems. Gains can now be made as Mercury lands in your 2nd (28th) and meets Pluto the following day. You are no longer shy about communicating those expectations. And are fully vigilant when it comes to identifying any conflicting messages you may be telling yourself. Mindfully hitting ‘erase’ if they replay.
Cultivate an abundance mindset with the new Moon and the start of the Chinese Year of the Green Wood Snake. You’ve the power to transmute your relationship with not just the material world, but your expectations and ability to receive. Above all – look to what ‘rich’ actually means for you. For most people, it’s not about income or possessions – it’s having choices and enriching experiences and relationships. No matter what point to begin this cycle – in the red or in the black, what you get and gain from it is determined by just how worthy you know you are. Invest there, Cappy.
In a nutshell: When it comes to your core values, it’s important you and another share the same ones. And if you need to set your personal stock at a higher value, Pluto in your 2nd raises the bar. Do have that all-important talk now. And start the year as you mean to go on. More in your forecast for the new era of Capricorn 2025.

AQUARIUS
Why don’t you teach your heart to fill and give your love love,
give your love love give it all away
Why don’t you teach your heart to talk and give your love love,
give your love love.
Take That. Love Love
Happy first official birthday of the Now Age, Aquarius. The Sun’s entry (19th) is the first one it makes with Pluto in residence for almost two decades. The Sufi poet Rumi wrote about surrendering to love. Others have spoken about finding what you love and the old you dying to that. Love is the great transformer. And yes, the Take That sound byte is the more contemporary version of the same thing. Find who or what you love, let it fill your heart and then give it all away. Because you can never empty it. Like a cup – it’s designed to be refilled.
Let’s unpack the planets in the lead up to your birthday. Ruler Uranus remains retrograde in Taurus and your 4th until the 30th. You also have Mars, planet of action and confidence, retrograde first in Leo and your 7th. Just before it backs into Cancer and your 6th, it will oppose Pluto on the 3rd. This may bring up an issue around a key entanglement for you. That significant other, spouse, business partner, bestie or long term lover. This is one of two such oppositions. The second will take place once Mars heads direct again. Mars rules passion, assertiveness, direction and certainty. It’s what hands us the ability to be a self-starter, to initiate and act. So, when its backwards we may feel disconnected from all that. Needless to say, dear Aquarius, although this is a cycle of new beginnings, with Mars and your ruler backwards, January may not be the best time to go swiping for that new love. Unless you want to land a catfish.
Mars rules Aries and your 3rd house. And co-rules Scorpio and your 10th along with Pluto. Your career, professional and social standing, reputation and rewards and your status – including your relationship status. Single, married, divorced. So, even though Mercury is now clear of retroshadow in your social and goals sector from the 1st, and powers through your 12th to arrive in your sign by the 28th, communications, commerce, commuting and anything that involves competition – such as interviews, business pitches, sports and even gaining followers, will be impacted. Again, you may want to hold off on these areas until at least after Mars heads direct once more.
Once Mars is in your 6th, you need to pace yourself. Guard against burn-out and also – don’t rush to get things done. This is when mistakes happen. If you have been guilty of self-neglect – either eating wrong or simply taking on too much, now is the time your body will register its protest. If you don’t slow down it may simply ensure you do via you getting sick. Don’t push against that energy.
If there are problems with your boss, manager, co-workers or even employees, they will also be highlighted during Mars’s retro in your 6th. Especially around the 23rd just prior to Mercury reaching your sign when it too opposes Mars and trines ruler Uranus. Is your job delivering satisfaction and what you need? Are others pulling their weight? Are you getting asked to take on too much? Or – do you do the work and others take the credit for it? If you need to move on or apply for something new, wait until after the 28th when Mercury lands in your sign to take action.
January sees the North Node leave Aries and your 3rd and enter Pisces and your 2nd. Which puts the South Node in Virgo and your 8th. You and money have karma. What goes around, comes around. That’s why it’s called currency. Venus also enters your 2nd joining Saturn and Neptune in here. The past few years may have felt a little feast or famine. Either you embraced wins and rewards. Or found yourself working harder than ever for little gain. Escape the small change – literally in some cases, as abundant flow is channelled in your direction. And when it comes to money karma – you can reset the balance sheet to zero. And begin again.
Get a handle on your assets. If you are dealing with debt – seek out professional advice if needed. Know where the money you have goes. Once you see this, you can begin to send it in a different direction if needed. Do you tell yourself you’ll start saving but never manage to? If so, take a leaf out of the Banking Playbook. Pay yourself first. No matter the state of the economy, or what mistakes have been made – bankers always get paid. By setting aside a set amount the moment you are – even if it’s just a small one to begin with, you will manage to budget. But if you tell yourself you’ll save whatever is left afterwards – there is never enough. Try it and see. That’s the start of a money mindset right there.
Mars retro can also see you setting better or healthier financial habits. Especially just before the full Moon in your 6th (13th), when it trines Neptune in your 2nd. The day of the full Moon also has the Sun in your 12th trine Uranus. While the Moon trines Saturn in your 2nd. You may consciously decide to cut back on spending in one area in favour of diverting resources into another. You will be thinking in the long term now. About what really adds to your life. You’ll also be looking to your experience, talents and skills and how better to leverage these. If you are freelance for instance, you may do some research to reassess your rates. And again, if you are employed but feel you don’t receive your due, you will now decide to look for something more rewarding. The 19th is one of the best days of the month to set those intentions. And if you are one of the lucky Aquarians who are looking at an increase in your income now, do have a long term plan around how to invest the extra for your future. Rather than just spending it. The Nodes will pay out with interest.
The Sun is your love planet because it rules Leo and your 7th house. Get ready to fill up with love and light. And do radiate and share far and wide. You cannot be depleted. Not with Pluto acting like an inexhaustible source of everlasting power in your sign. Some may experience a love revival as the Sun meets Pluto (21st) and Venus trines retro Mars on the 25th. This could even be for a former path as well as a person.
Mercury arrives days later (28th) and meets Pluto the same day as the new Moon marks the astrological start of your fresh cycle. And the Chinese New Year of the Green Wood Snake. This is your point of power for the coming year. And remember that old saying about how the world doesn’t revolve around you? Well, this is the one time it does. This is ALL about you, Aquarius.
In astrology your birthchart shows that the universe did in fact revolve around you the moment you were born. Because you are at the centre of the chart. So, it’s not different for the moment the new Moon appears. For those few hours, the planets orbit you. Needless to say, you need to seize it and set something in motion. It’s powered in a way it never has been before. Limitless and free flowing. Send it in any direction you want. You can’t run out. So, give it all away to something you love or want to bring in. By August you’ll have simply more to give to the result.
In a nutshell: You embody the image of the overflowing chalice in the card of the Ace of Cups in the Tarot, Aquarius. You can’t be emptied. Love is a limitless resource which constantly refills you. So, give your love to who and what you adore. And watch it flow right back in. Your 2025 forecast for the Aquarian Now Age is ready.

PISCES
” The future has not been written. There is no fate but what we make for ourselves.”
John Connor. Terminator 3
Buddha once said that karma is so complex we cannot possibly understand it. Yes, that’s a little more philosophical than the quote from the Terminator franchise. But both are equally mysterious and loaded with questions around karma and destiny. Expect a certain preoccupation with these concepts from this month onwards, Pisces. As the North Node returns to your sign for the first time in almost 19 years.
Thanks to this significant event, January hands you the ability to create fresh, sparkly, clean karma. We can say all of us have this ability at any point in our lives. But especially so when we have the Nodes paying us a visit. We can see fate or destiny at work in an up close and personal way. If we are old enough, events we set in motion 18-19 years ago when the North Node was last in residence, come full circle.
For you, if you were 18 or over during the following years – June 2006 – December 2007, December 1987 – May 1989, and April 1969 to November 1970, this Nodal cycle will bring something begun in one of these periods, full circle. And now – back to the ‘No fate’ thing – if something is completed or released now, you get to determine what happens and author your own karma from this point onwards. Those of you entering this cycle for the first time can have the advantage of mindfully monitoring what they do. Bearing in mind the only real control we have on our karma, is how we choose to react. Or simply choose. You now get to either choose again. Or choose coming from a clean balance sheet. And what you set in motion now plays out across this cycle until the North Node returns again.
Update more than just your destiny as Venus arrives in your sign on Jan 3. There’s so much that’s unique about 2025. And Venus’s early arrival ahead of the Sun is about to deliver an extra long cycle of enchantment and attraction for you. Thanks to Saturn in your 1st – which starts the process of leaving you this year, it will have given you a better understanding of what you do and don’t need. Expectation vs. reality. With you able to craft realism from what begins as a fantasy. Saturn also rules karma. You will see what enhances your life solidify and the ties that bind you to it strengthen. While what you break free from what you no longer need or which no longer serves you. Sometimes this may be sudden. And at other times it will be a gradual process with change spread out or so subtle you are unaware it is happening until you look back at the immense gap between where you were – and where you are now.
Venus is set for a retrograde which will begin in Aries. During which it will return to your sign before heading direct again. So, this brings you an extra long period of magical glamour and attraction. As well as a way to creativity change up your destiny. Venus rules love, partnerships and your creativity. But the Moon is the ruler for you of romance, pleasure and attraction in general. While we always say we need to put a hold on the areas of life a planet rules when it is backwards – especially when that planet is backwards in our 1st house or a ruling house, if you are going to look to timing when it comes to love, romance, relationships and all the things that hand you pleasure, always look to the Moon. Why? It’s simple. The Moon rules Cancer and your 5th house.
With the North Node now in your sign, the South Node is in Virgo and your 7th house. So, your planet of marriage, partnerships and long term unions of any description is in fact, Mercury. Once Mercury escapes retroshade in your 10th (1st), you can expect clarification around career and work issues as well as where a relationship may be headed. If your partner has been dealing with uncertainties with their own job or direction, they too will experience forward motion from this point.
Ahead of you also comes Neptune’s move into Aries and your 2nd. Neptune takes approximately 165 years to orbit the Sun. So, it can only visit one sector of our charts once. And then not all of them. So when Neptune is in residence it brings once in a lifetime lessons around what is real and what we believe is real. The power of the unseen. The aura, the vibe, the filter, the illusion. In your 1st, Neptune allows you to be who you believe yourself to be. But to do that – you have to really know who you are first. You’ve been taking a deep dive into you. And when you’ve emerged from this with your pearls of truth, you can then use these to create any image of yourself you want. Or craft how the world needs to see you.
Venus in your 1st allows you to enhance and adjust this process. And with retro Mars now returning to your pleasure-centered 5th, you can also look to what is stopping you from expressing yourself with beauty and confidence. Be you own Fab Five as needed. Or your own life coach. Look to indulgence and updates at the time of the full Moon in your 5th. And the Venus/Saturn meet-cute on the 19th.
This could also herald the arrival of a significant new connection for some of you. If so, it may take a while to reveal its final form. Don’t be in a hurry however. Also – this may be an inter-generational connection. In more ways than one. There could be at least a seven year age gap between you. And a karmic connection as well. The latter is what acts as the soul glue.
Let’s truth talk now. The Sun reaches your 12th (19th) and meets Pluto on the 21st. You can expect revelations, big reveals and the past to feature in some way. True colours one way or another will be exposed. And with Pluto now in permanent residence, secrets won’t stay in that closet either. Your sixth sense won’t be fooled by redaction or denial. You can sniff out an untruth the moment it passes someone’s lips or turns up on their feed. The only way you can be fooled, perceptive Pisces, is if you ignore your own inner wisdom. And this goes hand-in-hand with knowing yourself well enough never to doubt yourself.
Watch what comes to light when Mercury lands in here (28th), and meets Pluto the same day as the new Moon (29th). This ushers in the Chinese New Year of the Green Wood Snake. Hopefully not a snake in the grass. But it connects you to insight and karmic truths. You will look past the obvious and go in search of the hidden meaning behind things. Yes, you will continue to view others with empathy and compassion. But you will no longer allow them to take advantage of you.
This is an excellent time to journal, reflect, seek out healing, have a psychic reading, spend time in nature, meditate and think about what fate you want to create in the coming year. Pluto is the planet of rebirth. And in your house of the past, it can revive something you imagined was over and done with. That opportunity represents itself. That old flame gets back in touch wanting a second (or is that third?) chance. What have you learned? Can you create new karma by letting them back in? Or will you just repeat it? If you get to create it, you get to choose, Pisces. Ensure you know you get to write it from here on in. Choose your fate with a new mindfulness.
In a nutshell: You enter an extra long cycle of attraction and destiny reset with the arrival of Venus and the North Node in your sign this month. Time to be a master of your fate and creator of your future. You get to design who you are as well as how you experience it, Pisces. More in your fated, dated 2025 yearly forecast.
