December Horoscope Written 2018

Monthly Astrology Forecast for All Signs December  2018

Aries

  • How far with 2019 take you?
  • Claim your freedom
  • The journey starts here

You begin December with the quest to achieve more freedom and a bigger, bolder, more immersive life experience as your top priority, Aries. Examining just how, why or what is preventing you from experiencing this could just be a quest in itself. Make no mistake, you are on a journey this December whether it is a real or a metaphorical one. If you have not read anything about the Hero’s Journey before, this may be a good place to start. Asking yourself where you are on it will be extremely helpful in charting the next part of your course. Even if you are familiar with the hero’s journey,  again, this may be an excellent time to gain your bearings by looking at just where you are right now. Imagine your goal on the horizon – how near or far does it look to you? What if anything, stands between you and it?

Mars in your 12th is a power position for your ruler. Spiritual fortitude, bravery and determination push you forward when it comes to uncovering the truth now. You are able to bring fearless insight into any situation as well as the steel of creativity and desire to know more. Especially the inner workings of your mind. You could have a moment or rare illumination on the 3rd when the Sun in your 9th angles to Mars and then Neptune on the 5th. Whether this revelation is what you want remains to be seen but it is what you need to know in order to identify what stands between you, freedom and those big dreams and desires.  Once you do see it, act on the information especially after Mercury in your sector of change, heads direct. Paradoxically, this can also be the point you shrug off worries and cares or simply put things back in perspective. Mercury retro in this house tends to have us ‘fearing fear itself’.  Shifting our thoughts about something is usually all we need to do to transform a problem. The first part of the month hands you this unique gift so use it, Aries.

The new Moon in your 9th marks one of the most powerful new beginnings you may have experienced for some time. Especially as it occurs the same day as Mars and Neptune meet in your 12th. The past blends seamlessly into the present and the future now as something could well arise from it. Travel, embarking on a course of study, news, contracts, overseas contacts, paperwork and something just coming full circle but in a new way, could be set to expand your outlook – and those ideas about what is possible for you in the coming year. Mercury will re-enter your 9th from the 12th and will spend another 12 days in retrograde ‘shadow’ until the 24th. Just be aware that until it passes out of the shadow period, plans can go back and forth and are also still subject to delay. Bear this in mind especially if you are travelling this holiday season as your 9th rules long distance travel, airlines and mass transportation.

Are you looking back at 2018 with satisfaction when it comes to what you have achieved, Aries? 2019 promises something bigger, better and more breathtaking. Above all, take a moment as the solstice approaches to celebrate your person achievements and acknowledge how well you have handled things and just how far you have come. Especially when placed in a larger context over the past seven years.  The third and fourth weeks of December not only puts you in preparation mode for what’s to come but also allows you to make any final adjustments to that personal revolution you’ve been experiencing. By now you should have embraced who you truly are and your outer appearance as well as your ideas and how you meet the world, should have also shifted along with this. It’s time to show the world who you truly are and what you are capable of. Ask yourself if not now, then when? Ruler Mars in your 12th removes any lingering fears around what others may think as it angles to Pluto in your achievement zone on the 17th while the Sun’s final day in your 9th strikes Uranus, planet of individuality back in your 1st for its final revolutionary adjustment. Opportunities and that freedom I mentioned, are yours to claim now as for the first time in 12 years, Mercury meets Jupiter in its ruling 9th on the 21st – the same day the Sun arrives in your 10th. How far can you go in the coming year? Or just how far can those ideas, your talents and abilities take you? You’re being asked to strike out in a new direction now even as the year is drawing to a close. And to showcase what is unique about you at the same time.

This month’s full Moon appears in its ruling 4th. There’s no place like home and loved ones this Christmas. No matter where or who this happens to be. Create that wherever you find yourself. Time to heal any issues with family members. It’s all a bit Wiz Khalifa for you when this full Moon appears each year. Who do you call family? Where are your roots and who or what are you pulled towards? Full Moons always shine on the opposite house to where they appear. So security issues which this one may well stir up, impact on your career. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself looking at where you want to get to or what you want to achieve in the coming year. And how this can be used to establish that feeling of stability that makes all other dreams possible – and sustains you at the same time. For the time being however – sentimental you rules this festive season. Give in and share the love.

Rock on towards the year’s end and in doing so, step onto the path of true self-expression and calling. Ruler Mars wants you to end the year on a high note. Hidden desires and talents emerge and also where you are ‘fated’ to be or do. Mars angles to the North Node in your 4th of family, home and roots. Remember, this includes your soul family as well as the one you were born into. Home is that corner of the earth that feels right for you and where you can live your purpose – and again, this may or may not be where you were born or even living now. Mars is also set to meet Chiron in your 12th on the 29th. This is pointing the way to you setting in motion and then fulfilling, a radical and exciting change for 2019. And yes, it forms part of your destiny. Along this path you are going to meet people with whom you have made agreements over many lifetimes and all this is aligned to your karma, fate, destiny – whatever you want to call it. Your way to initiate this cycle is to be uniquely and unashamedly yourself – no matter how radical this may feel to begin with. The gift you can give yourself this season, and one which will bring you the most value is the freedom to do just that. This is your path to bigger opportunities, travel and freedom in 2019.

In a nutshell: Step past those invisible barriers between you and those big dreams. And step into a cycle of expansion that takes you on into 2019. Breathtaking? You bet, Aries!

Taurus

  • Rock the boat, baby!
  • Make decisions with love
  • Who – or what, is in your bed?

Has love been going backwards and forwards? Is it you or has it been the other party, Taurus? Unsure of what you want? Or sure and not certain of what you want to do about it? This may not just have affected your love life but also your relationship to your money may also have been an area affected. The reason for all of this has of course been your ruler Venus, retrograde through its ruling 7th and into your 6th of work and also wellbeing. All these things are intertwined as any relationship  – be it with your money, how you earn it, or with a partner, impacts across all areas of life and if anything, this retro period should have shown you the cause – and the effect.

As the Venus retro has progressed , it should have shown you the need to create balance in these areas. December begins with you looking at how you have achieved that or what truly now needs to be done as Venus (now direct) angles at the North Node in your 4th. This is all about your long term security whether it boils down to being loved-up or your financial stability. The universe asks you: are you settled and happy or does a radical shift or decision need to take place? Watch for this around the third week in the month. This backwards/forwards movement is like rocking the boat and you may need to do just that before equilibrium or happiness can be restored – especially in your marriage, partnership or future partnership. So, don’t be afraid to rock it until you achieve that balance as Venus returns to your 7th from the 2nd. Remember, Venus is in retrograde shadow still and will remain so until early in the New Year. Until then, expect more rocking back and forth.  But provided the decisions you make are made with love – or self-love, at their heart, then you can rest assured the outcome will be for the best.

Deals and negotiations may also follow the same pattern as Mercury, planet of contracts, business and communication has also been in retrograde and heads direct in your 7th from the 6th. Be aware that Mercury will also be in retrograde shadow until the 24th so nothing may be signed, sealed or delivered before then. There’s a double emphasis on marriage and any relationship where sex features. Joint accounts, joint assets, the bed you share, who you share that bed with now or in the future and decisions related to this – the term ‘made your bed so now you lie in it’ comes to mind. Some may decide the bed is ideal, others may prefer another bed while some of you sleeping alone could be using this time to get very clear about the type of partner they want to share a bed with in the future.

No matter what situation you are attempting to bring balance to, I can tell you that when it comes to making changes, procrastination is not your friend. The new Moon in your 8th on the 7th – the day after Mercury heads direct once more, squares a Mars/Neptune conjunction in your 11th. You are being nudged to take action and sticking  your head in the sand (or the clouds for that matter) and pretending you don’t need to do this, will waste an opportunity to begin again – and bring you something (or someone) better. This is your new Moon of change and also meaning. By that, I mean to bring new meaning into a key area of your life. This is your house of what goes on below, your fears, your subconscious desires and this Moon invites you to bring these into the light and own them. It offers you the chance to slip free of an old issue simply by outgrowing it – and making that change you may otherwise fear. What you deny or do not want to own or admit to – in this lies your beauty and your strength. Looked at this way – make the change that may initially rock that boat (or even that bed!) but which in fact, sets it to rights afterwards! Initiate this as Mercury re-enters your 8th from the 12th and on the 16th, ruler Venus makes a fabulous, releasing angle to Saturn in your 9th setting you free from something that may have confined you in the long term.

As we head into the holiday season someone or something from your past could re-appear or be rekindled for you as ruler Venus aligns to Neptune in your social and goals sector. Unexpected encounters or even opportunities could emerge pointing you towards 2019. Be open-minded and flexible and understand there may be more going on now than meets the eye. There are no coincidences – only forces at work in the cosmos we have yet to understand. But sometimes we just have to accept this and go with them. This could be one of those times. The Sun enters your 9th bringing us the solstice on the 21sts also and a renewed commitment on your part to your personal freedom. You’re feeling more outgoing, willing to take a chance and open to whatever comes your way. Your increased confidence now makes any decisions easy.

The full Moon in your 3rd on the 22nd marks the point where you confront something that needs to be said. Now, whether you say it now and say it clear or not really isn’t the issue. It’s the fact you know sooner or later, it will have to be dealt with that matters. This does not mean that the holidays are taking on a serious cast however! This is a full Moon under which to travel to see loved ones or spend the holidays away from home. It promises invitations, lots of comings and goings and neighbours and siblings if you have them, may play a role here.  Talks of Christmas past, present and yet to come feature as does enjoying shared entertainment and good times which just emphasise the spirit of the season.  This full Moon is about being in the moment and enjoying the here and now. So, don’t be surprised if you wait to say whatever it is you need to.

Your values, money, assets and again, what you share with others all comes into focus too around this time as for the first time in 12 years, Mercury and Jupiter meet in your 8th on the same day as the full Moon. Powerful gains, letting go of something in order to accept something bigger, what you give and receive, what you owe and what others owe you will feature now. Remember, Mercury is in retrograde shadow for another three days. The way forward may now be clear but try to delay signing on that dotted line until after the holidays when it will be out of retro shadow. This is your pivotal point of power as the year ends. Your chance to make a big decision that frees you and propels you into something bigger for 2019. This could involve a payout, settlement, bonus or just you and someone close to you, deciding on a better way to work with what you have. The sum of the whole may be greater than the parts if so. You’ll either see how you can pull in the same direction – or else agree to go in opposite ones. What’s worth investing in (as this all relates to that), whether it’s a job, business, relationship or your future, will be apparent as it either pays off, or you get released into something new. Decisions stop the boat rocking so make them – with love, this December.

In a nutshell: Time to look at where imbalances have occurred in your relationships, money or even self-love. You’ve a decision to make – so make it with love this December, Taurus.

Gemini

  • Renew that love
  • Explore the path of two-getherness
  • Promote your purpose!

You begin the month with ruler Mercury still in retrograde form in its ruling 6th in your chart. It will head direct once more on the 6th and re-enter your 7th on the 12th. It began its retrograde period in your 7th so please bear in mind that it will not move out of retrograde shadow until the 24th. Venus has also been retrograde – a rare event as out of all the planets, Venus retrograde the least. Venus began its retrograde in your 6th and now re-enters it on the 2nd. So, as this is Mercury’s house, you need to think of this as double-shadow time. Venus will not exit its retrograde shadow until the New Year so between now and then, expect continued reshuffles, renegotiations, delays and complications around money and your relationships. One relationship or deal in particular may go back and forth, back and forth. Understand that you may not be able to do much about this and if this happens, trying to control it may just make it worse. Ask yourself what is going to happen if you just let go and let the chips fall where they may, so to speak? By all means, do what you can but once this is done – do no more. Let go and please, begin to enjoy the holiday season.

While Venus retrograde and moving through retrograde shadow is not a good time to begin a new relationship but to review existing ones, this does not mean that partnerships, duos and double acts of any or all description, are off the menu this December. After all, you have Jupiter, planet of expansion and abundance, in your 7th for the first time in 12 years. This is setting you up to receive benefits of some description of another via a partnership or it will expand the potential of an existing one. Your path to any kind of success in the coming year lies with at least one other person and not going it alone. Keep in mind the embargo on new partnerships of any kind until after the first week of January but until then, look for exciting new beginnings and fresh starts within an existing one. Career and business ventures are especially  favoured right now but please get everything in writing and remember, the deal isn’t done until the signatures are on the dotted line.

This month’s new Moon in your 7th is one of attraction, connection and receptivity. It appears the day after your ruler has gone direct and this is no coincidence. It tells you now to push forward – with caution and willingness to wait if necessary, with those career, business, study, work and communication ventures which involve you and at least one other person. You have a lot of activity right now in your sector of long term career, reputation and rewards. Mars is in here firing up those ambitions and your desire to succeed. Chiron has also re-entered this sector of your chart and allows you to fully embrace your unique take on things – and pass this on so others can benefit. Neptune can bring you inspiration, creativity aligned to promoting your purpose and allow you to intuit what your next move should be. Mars and Neptune are conjunct on the day the new Moon appears. Know what you want to achieve – whether it’s that new job where you would be working closely with someone, closing that deal or taking an existing working relationship to the next level. Just keep in mind with Mercury and Venus both in retrograde shadow that reversals and renegotiations may continue until the end of December. Read the fine print carefully as the T&C’s may change and please, the deal isn’t done until it’s signed on the dotted line.

You of all signs know that retrogrades rule ‘re’ words – and we tend to forget relationship is one of these. Especially under a Venus retrograde. Relationship revivals may continue to be a possibility for some of you right up until the point Venus exits retrograde shadow in January. The one that got away – anyone from a human being to a horse or a job, could reappear now. The chance to re-forge a connection that has left you wondering ‘what if?’ could reappear especially after Mercury re-enters your 7th and begins to move though the shadow period. The unexpected chance encounter or reunion could be your gift this holiday season not only thanks to Jupiter in your 7th but the Sun in here radiating across to Uranus, back in its ruling 11th for one final go-around. You’ve changed – have they? Chances are you are both different this time around which could translate into a very different ending.

What has been in abeyance, or just going back and forth without a resolution, could finally be resolved as we arrive at the solstice. The Sun moves out of your 7th and into your sexy and empowering 8th where transformations occur. This is also the day that Mercury and Jupiter meet in your 7th indicating a union in the making or a deal about to be done – Mercury has after all, only three days of shadow period left. Jupiter in your 7th is all about benefits and opportunities that come via someone else. This month’s full Moon shines on your money and your value system. This is the season where money can fly out of the door faster than we earn it. Your task is to look at what it buys you – or you buy others as we are talking about giving, that is lasting. People and experiences top your wishlist now when it comes to sharing. You’re also looking at what others are sharing with you. Emotions surface with regards to your money – how you ‘feel’ or relate to it rather than how much you have. The term ‘money well spent’ comes to mind under this full Moon. What is your money truly buying you? What do you have to give and most importantly, what you are receiving?

As 2019 beckons you forward, whether it’s an old love, a current love, a new love, a close working relationship or friendship, your horizons around partnerships and lasting love are set to expand. . You have set everything in motion and all you need to remember that when it comes to partnership matters – 2019 is not a year you will walk through alone.

In a nutshell: 2019 will be a year to play with and explore all kinds of partnership potential. December may resurrect an old one. Or take an existing one to a new level.

Cancer

  • Old love is in the shadows
  • What seems new again?
  • Freedom to work and live – the way you want

Let’s talk about shadow periods this December. And please Cancer, this is not as scary as it may sound so don’t jump to conclusions! Venus has been retrograde recently and is now in forward motion and re-enters your 5th this week. Venus will remain in ‘retrograde shadow’ right up until the first week of January. This does not mean love is on hold however. Yes, it is still not a good time to begin a new love affair despite Venus being in the house which rules this. Not if you are hoping for something lasting. While Venus is in retrograde shadow the path to true love simply will not run smoothly. Eternal triangles, emotional unavailability or just someone blowing hot and then cold, are likely during this period. Do you love yourself enough not to chance your heart but to wait?

While this may not be a time for new love, it is a perfect time for the renewal or reawakening of old loves. And with your 5th house this includes things you love to do as the 5th rules fun, pleasure and hobbies. What have you allowed to lapse that you used to love to do? Has money played a role in this? Your 5th house is the sign of Scorpio which rules sex – an important element of romance, and power money. So, as Venus heads forward into here again, funding could free up access to that old pastime which gave you so much pleasure in the past.

All retrogrades emphasise ‘re’ words and if we focus on these, we steer clear of obvious retrograde and retro shadow pitfalls. Venus rules our money and bank accounts while Mercury which rules business, communication, contracts and commerce, is the other shadow planet we need to be mindful of now. Mercury also turns direct in your 5th from Dec 6 and will remain in shadow period until Dec 24. During this time it will arrive back in its ruling 6th in your chart from the 12th. So, work related discussions, job offers or applications, interviews, study, your routine or even your health – all these matters may go back and forth until Mercury exits the shadow stage.

You do have a very important new Moon in Mercury’s 6th occurring on the 7th. This is all about your work/life balance, your body, wellbeing and routine. We all have tasks ad duties we need to perform. Our day job is the obvious one. And even if this is considered a ‘glamourous’ job by some, it will still have its mundane aspects. No matter how wealthy we are, there’s still stuff we have to attend to. This is a fabulous new Moon for sorting out that routine and for looking at whether or not you enjoy the work you’re doing. How does this affect your wellbeing? Does your job fulfil and stretch you, or does it frustrate and stress you? This new Moon asks you to tune in to what your body is telling you as the state of it is a reflection of how harmonious all these other aspects of your life are. As it’s the end of the year, this is not a good time to apply for a new job and certainly, Mercury retro shadow says unless you are unemployed, hold off for now. But it is a very good time to revise that CV or review that lifestyle and routine and get it working for you once again. Don’t forget, you have Jupiter planet of abundance in here working its magical expansion mojo for the first time in 12 years! There’s a meeting between Mercury and Jupiter happening on the 21st plus you have door opening aspects occuring between the Sun in your 6th and Uranus in your 10th of career and reputation on the 20th. All this says: prepare to make your move and perhaps in a new and totally unexpected direction.

The Sun enters your 7th from the 21st and don’t forget right now you have Saturn and Pluto both resident for the long term in here. Decisions and transformations may have already occurred around long term relationships for many of you. While the process continues for others. Again, with Venus in your 5th and the Sun in your 7th, this would normally be a wonderful time for attracting long term love but this time not until Venus is out of shadow during the first week of January. That renewed love I spoke of earlier could occur between you and your partner as you appreciate all over again, what made you fall for them in the first place. Others could take their commitment to the next level while the return of an old lover could be the star on top of the festive tree for some.

The 7th is your house of attraction don’t forget and whether Venus is direct, retrograde or in shadow, it all boils down to who or what is ‘opposite’ you now. What you attract now – aside from the usual gifts of the season, could well spring from the past while Venus remains in retro shadow. Do watch out for a tendency towards extravagance however – that ‘bargain’ in the Boxing Day sales may not be. The Sun in here wants you reaching out and being with others and if this is not to be a new love, then it is time to reconnect to old ones and this includes old friends too.

The full Moon in your 1st the following day makes this a holiday period of deep resonance and also evaluation. You’re looking both within and without now. Remember, full Moons reflect the energy of the opposite house they appear in. So, when the full Moon appears in our 1st, this shines the light on our 7th. You won’t be able to hide your emotions when it comes to how you feel about others – so don’t even bother to try! If someone asks you what’s up – please answer honestly and don’t say ‘Nothing’ or ‘I’m fine’. This is your opportunity to open up, allow those close to you into your inner sanctum and also air any issues that need it. The light of this Moon makes you realise what relationships are important – and which ones you have outgrown or just don’t support you. If something is out of balance, this will be very clear now and again, this is your opportunity to stop that boat rocking. However – if something is right you will be so aware of it. You’ll enter the holiday season with a sense of renewed gratitude and wanting to show your love and appreciation for what this person brings to your life. So, celebrate with whoever you find yourself with this holiday season and be grateful for the love you already have in your life as before new love and new opportunities light the way ahead for 2019.

In a nutshell: Attracting someone or something from your past – to reviving an old love. December delivers opportunities to relive romance or what you love to do. It all seems new again, Cancer!

Leo

  • Something new contains massive potential
  • Wait for love or opportunity to emerge fully formed
  • Change occurs around love or money

Make no mistake, Leo. Something is being set in motion this month but it may take until January to catch up with you or make itself known. You may not realise the significance of something until much later when it reappears fully formed. December asks you to have faith in the future and the knowledge that the Wheel of Fortune (yes, just like the Tarot card!) is now turning firmly in your direction. Just as good things come in small packages, small beginnings lead to big opportunities.

Be on the lookout for the many opportunities December wants to deliver. Take note of who crosses your path or what appears now. It may be just a hint or a preview of what’s yet to come. It may flicker into being one moment, and then disappear again. Don’t rush it and don’t push it or run after it in hot pursuit. Simply take note and even forget about it. If it’s real it will return in its own good time. The reason I advise this approach is that December puts us in a double retrograde shadow period. Things are up in the air, subject to changes and delays or are simply not yet in a solid, tangible form. This especially applies to anything to do with love or money, Leo! And as with all shadows, we may not be able to see what is within them until the Sun eliminates them.

Venus has been making a rare retrograde since October. December sees the planet of love direct once more and re-entering your 4th of home, family and long term security from the 2nd. But Venus will remain in retrograde shadow until the first week of January. So, new love is on hold until then. With your ruler the Sun in your 5th along with Jupiter, this does not mean someone could not cross your path, just that you either may not realise their significance or they could come in and then mysteriously disappear until the New Year. Mercury is also in retrograde shadow form. It too is in your 4th when the retrograde ends and will arrive back in your 5th on the 12th. But it will remain in retrograde shadow time until the 24th. So, business opportunities and creative ventures may go back and forth or be promised but not fully manifest until after that time. Again, take a hands-off approach and step back if this happens. This is an act of faith in your future, your talents, your skills and the knowledge that when the time is right the universe turns in our direction.

Hints and tantalizing glimpses of what is to come are wrapped in the promise of the new Moon in your 5th on the 7th. You’ll also feel a psychic charge and a stirring of passion as you feel the need to pursue something that you have hidden deep in your heart. Don’t deny yourself or your dreams under this new Moon. Retrogrades and their shadows always focus on ‘re’ words and rekindling passion especially for something you used to love to do when younger, is one promise contained within this new Moon. This is your house of children so your child, stepchild or just someone younger than you, could play a role in reconnecting you to simple joy, fun and that feeling of being in the moment we have when we are young and doing something we love.

Yes, this is your house of romance and you also have Mercury and Jupiter meeting in here for the first time in 12 years on the 21st. It’s time to express yourself without hesitation. There’s huge potential for travel around you too. Ask yourself where you want to go, see or experience. This is the day of the solstice when your ruler the Sun exits your 5th and heads on into your sector of work and wellbeing. Meanwhile, Mars is in its ancient and deeply resonant 8th house promising transformation, changes and yes – sex. This can mark the time to take a chance on something, to see the emergence of that new beginning. This especially applies as Mercury has just three days remaining in its shadow period. But please when it comes to love, hold back a little longer. While Venus is still in retro shadow there’s the risk of attracting an ‘It’s complicated’ situation. If you are already living this one out, especially if things have become complicated with your partner, this can mark the point where a release or resolution of some kind becomes possible (there’s those ‘re’ words again). No matter what transpires, take it that the doors to opportunity are now opening for you, even if you cannot yet see what is on the other side.

Changes are on their way – possibly ones that remake your world. Mars has you doing what needs to be done and intensifies your passion and allure and what you will discover if you are out and about this holiday season, is that people will be drawn to you like moths to a flame! Work that mojo while all the while remaining aware that these are seeds to be planted and harvested later rather than right now.

If for any reason you are still waiting for a final piece of information before going ahead with something, are uncertain or things are still up in the air or unresolved, then the full Moon in your 12th on the 22nd should show you clearly what the missing piece of the puzzle is or what needs to be done now. Of course, this may be nothing at all and as this is your house of intuition, if that’s what you being told – then follow it. Solutions are at hand however and also if the other party has been deliberately delaying, you’ll see that too. Taking a few days off over the holiday period could well deliver the answers and perspective you need. Be the observer now as we head towards the New Year.

You’ll end the year with a renewed desire to achieve something of meaning to you during 2019. And in a state of breathless anticipation for what’s to come. You may not quite see it yet, but the seeds of the future have been planted and have taken root.

In a nutshell: New beginnings are on the horizon but you’ve yet to see them arrive fully formed. Something important begins this month – but you may not see it at first. Wait to discover more.

Virgo

  • Get a green light to make a little magic happen
  • It’s all in the timing
  • Rock on with love into 2019

It’s all about the timing this month, Virgo. And this is of course linked to destiny, path and karma. When the time is right –things happen. When it’s not well – no matter what we do, they don’t. Or if they do, we don’t get the end result we wanted. What springs to mind here is the story of an extremely attractive friend of mine – also Mercury ruled. She had a successful career and owned a beautiful home but had no partner. She spent most nights in either various upscale bars or on internet dating sites in search of ‘the one’. Now, I’m not saying she didn’t get lucky – of course she did. But finding ‘the one’? The timing just wasn’t there. When it was – she met the man who is now her husband when she wasn’t even looking – and not in a bar or on the internet. What I’m saying is that December is going to show you that when you have the green light – magic happens. And when it’s still on red or amber – destiny is saying there is still work to be done right where you are. Don’t fight it – the universe and karma is simply too big to push around.

We begin the month in double retrograde jeopardy mode. Ruler Mercury is in its ruling 3rd in your chart so chances are you have dealt with a triple whammy of retrograde mayhem. Stick to the retrograde rules which you of all signs should know by heart as it heads forward from the 6th. It will reenter your 4th of home, family and long term plans on the 12th but remain in retrograde shadow until the 24th. So, you have another 12 days of backwards and forwards uncertainty to deal with. Certainly when it comes to anything to do with your home, living arrangements, family matters or even career decisions, if you can hold off on these for the shadow period – do so.  You have a fabulous Mercury aspect happening this month which I will talk about later in the forecast.

The other shadow dance which is happening in the sky is Venus which is now moving forward again and re-enters your 3rds on the 2nd – the same day that Mercury will trine the North Node in your 11th from here. Which is where your dance with destiny and timing plays a role here. This dance could well involve you and another person and goes oh so deep beyond this lifetime. Meeting someone or even reconnecting with a person who will have a major effect on how your lifepath unfolds is likely. This could well be someone you have encountered before due to the retrograde shadow influences. There is more going on here than meets the eye. Money, something you share and yes, even sexual attraction could be involved. Just bear in mind that while Venus is now direct, the planet of love and money remains in retrograde shadow until the first week of January. Go with the natural timing of how things unfold now.

This month’s new Moon occurs on the 7th and this is no coincidence that this happens the day after your ruler heads direct. This new Moon is in the Moon’s ruling house (4th) and also squares with Mars and Neptune conjunct in your partnership zone. What decisions is it time to make when it comes to your long term happiness and security? Yes, I know we are still in the shadows of the retrograde but this does not stop us from seeing what changes need to be made – even if we do not act on them yet. This Moon is telling you not to dismiss your feelings as inconsequential. You are the sign above all others where little things mean so much to you. Are these missing in your life or your relationships? This Moon reawakens the importance of this for you on an emotional level as it works with Neptune to make you aware you should no longer ignore these insights. Mars is giving you a call to action as well as letting you know that feeling passionately about well – your feelings, is justified.

We are heading into family time and all the support but also all the expectations this brings us. This new Moon is always the point where we are asked to claim our own emotions and our own life – to live it our way. It’s a little known astrological fact – one I will share with you, that this Moon all on its own often brings with it a ‘lucky’ break – if the timing is right. This can arrive in the form of a person or a money making or career opportunity. Or us seeing the way forward to getting what we want. Breaking away or breaking free as well as that lucky break feature as this Moon can see us move out of stagnation or away from uncertainty and into stability.

That ‘lucky’ vibe that’s surrounding you gets magnified and ripples across the heavens as the day the Sun enters your 5th – the 21st, Mercury and Jupiter meet in your 4th for the first time in 12 years. Watch what early Christmas gifts arrive now. Some of you could be looking at a financial break or offer of help which allows you to establish a more secure foundation for the coming year. It’s time to talk frankly about your feelings too and to be given emotional support in return. Visitors and family affairs may take up your time – but they also have a role to play in the benefits coming your way. New people can enter your life now – and from different countries and backgrounds and friends from way back –perhaps even from childhood, may reappear.

Jupiter always wants to expand our experience in a key area governed by the house it is transitting at the time. When Mercury meets it the news that comes is big and in this house could well involve family, female relatives or even a female you work with. Property news or decisions or acquiring something for your home you have wanted for a long time may be another Mercury/Jupiter benefit heading your way. Remember – Mercury is only in shadow for another three days!

The Sun in your 5th always brings in good times, fun, enjoyment, the freedom to express yourself and even a touch of romance. Just remember when it comes to love that Venus is still in retrograde shadow if you are seeking more than just a fling. However, reviving a past love doesn’t count! The full Moon in your 11th on the 22nd, emphasises the love of friends and shows you it is every bit as important and valid and needful in your life as the romantic kind.  Carve out time to get together with friends. Reminisce about the past, share good times in the present and also let them in on those hopes, dreams and goals for 2019. You may find invitations to catch up and socialise flow towards you without you having to do anything under this Moon and if so, accept with gratitude. For now, celebrate with whoever you are with and under this Moon don’t be surprised if dreams, strange coincidences and intuition gives you a preview of what’s yet to come in the year ahead.

Your 11th rules the future –and yes, your goals too. Aim high, dream big and also see who can not only journey with you, but who may also be able to help you get there. When it comes to love and passion – Mars meets Chiron in your 7th on the 29th, either bringing in the possibility of a new love for the New Year once Venus is fully out of retroshadow, and with someone who rocks your boat, your world and is a bit of a rockstar in their own right – or allows you to bring this side of yourself out. You’re setting sail as the year ends – and on into new emotional waters, Virgo.

In a nutshell:  What does Santa have in his sack for you, Virgo? Whether you’ve been naughty, nice or a bit of both expect a little love magic – and a recommitment to those goals!

Libra

  • Love comes full circle
  • Reach for the extraordinary
  • Say it with conviction

You have had Uranus, planet of extraordinary revolutions and the unexpected, visiting your partnership sector for the past seven years. It is making one final house call now before it exits this house for good in 2019. During this cycle you may have redefined what partnerships mean to you, seen your needs change, explored many different types of being coupled-up – from love to collaborations, and quite possibly in some instances, not had the results you were after. Uranus is the planet of the unexpected. It says all bets are now off. Love or togetherness may be found in a connection you least expect to offer these, one you thought did no longer holds meaning or else you have found yourself experiencing unexpected rejections. The rejection dance could have cut across not just prospective lovers but employers too, with others just not seeming to want what you’re selling. This may all have come as a shock because as we all know, nobody works relationships like you do and who wouldn’t want to be in one with you – no matter what form it takes?

During this time, you may have had to deal with someone who was most definitely not on your side but in your face in the most toxic possible way. Again, this has all been part of the Uranus revolutionary process. While much of this may have been difficult to deal with is has formed part of a larger process of awakening you to what you need and also freeing you from relationships or even thoughts around love which have held you back in the past. Everything serves a larger purpose even if we can’t see it at the time. And the same goes for Venus retrogrades. Yes love may have got more complicated, hard to ground or figure out. But your ruler’s recent retrograde has been about turning back to an old love or reviewing the past so you can move into the future with a fresh sense of knowing what works for you – and what doesn’t.  Watch for what situation recurs at the start of the month as Venus still in your 1st, opposes Uranus in your 7th for the final time. This marks closure on some level. Perhaps an inner one.

Venus moves on into its ruling 2nd the following day and please continue to keep a close eye on money and expenditure. Be aware your ruler will not be truly out of retrograde shadow until the first week in January when it exits the sign it turned retrograde in – Scorpio. Also Mercury which rules business and communication heads direct again in here on the 6th and will cross into its ruling 3rd on the 12th. Proceed with work, commercial, written projects and anything to do with the internet now but with the caveat attached that there remains the potential for delays and reversals right up until Mercury escapes its retrograde shadow phase on the 24th. However, there are new beginnings in work and business springing from your past this month. The 7th sees a new Moon appear in your 3rd. It’s time to focus on the details of how you will achieve those goals and get where you need to go. Don’t be wishy-washy about this. Say what you mean, mean what you say and make sure you are not only being understood, but that you are clear about what others mean too. Don’t be afraid to ask for more information or for someone to explain something to you again. Above all – get it in writing. This is so important I will repeat it again: get everything in writing. Up to and including the 24th which is the day Mercury passes out of its retrograde shadow.

Big news and major decisions around career or living arrangements see out the year for you as the day of the Solstice when the Sun passes into your 4th sees Mercury and Jupiter meet in Mercury’s ruling 3rd. This could involve something you began in the past or which now comes full circle to completion for you. After what may have been a challenging year, many Librans may be ending it on a high note.

The 22nd brings you a reputation enhancing full Moon in your 10th. Full Moons reflect the light of your ruler the Sun back into the opposite house – in this case, your 4th of home, roots and family. This full Moon could even illuminate an ‘It’s complicated’ family scenario, a house move, mortgage or settlement. The 4th is the Moon’s ruling house but this full Moon is in the opposite house – your 10th. This is your axis of commitment and your long term future. Many of you will literally ‘return home’ under this full Moon for the holidays. Others will be looking closely at what they are working towards. What is behind your desire to achieve and be recognised for what you do? If you’ve been living up to another’s expectations – especially when it comes to your career or the choices you have made, this Moon allows you to take control of your destiny from here on in. In fact, this festive season asks you to stake a claim on your future by owning your choices in the past. Once you do that, you set a new destiny in motion as you step free of past mistakes. But for now, celebrate your high notes and look forward to heading higher as 2019 lies just ahead, Libra.

In a nutshell: Something goes full circle this month, Libra. It could be love or it could be something set in motion by you in the past. There’s a sense of completion as new beginnings beckon.

SCORPIO

  • Boost your inner collateral
  • Set something straight
  • Love does not have to be complicated

Time to take one final look at a past issue. And then put it behind you for good, Scorpio. Venus moves out of your 12th and on into your 1st on the 2nd. Before it arrives it will oppose Uranus in your 6th for one final time. What’s radical and revealing – around relationships, your past or just that mind/body/spirit connection needs to be implemented now. Taking a revolutionary, daring and different approach to love and romance as a result of delving deep into your intuitive side is possible this month. Mercury the planet of ideas and communication is also on the move – heading direct in your 1st from the 6th and removing blocks to communication as it does.

Please remember however that both Venus and Mercury remain in retrograde shadow so some back and forth movement and delays are still possible. Mercury will be out of retroshadow on the 24th, but you will not be fully clear of the retroshadow Venus effects until the New Year when Venus moves from your first and on into its ruling 2nd. This can bring about romantic situations which fall under the ‘It’s complicated’ heading. As a result, it may be best to steer clear of new involvements as you could find yourself drawn into one like this. Yes, the heart wants what the heart wants but sometimes we need to protect it like a parent would a child by steering it away from trouble. You have Neptune and ancient ruler Mars teaming up in your 5th of romance this month on the 7th – the day of the new Moon in your 2nd. Your 5th also rules children or in this case, you acting a parent to your inner child if needed. Protect that heart, Scorpio. You and I know how soft and vulnerable it can be.

As part of your past-life review – perhaps not just the past in this one but others, decisions could be made around money, shared resources, your home, family, relationship, apartment or income. Once the past is in perspective, new beginnings become possible. Time to think in terms of quality rather than quantity, and what adds value rather than cost – or should I say the hidden cost? There is a hidden cost to debt for example. We end up paying more when we don’t have values – or we become involved with those whose values don’t reflect our own. Or when we ‘sell out’ – our souls, our dignity, our talents, our self-esteem. The list goes on. This month’s new Moon in your 2nd impacts on that meeting with Mars and Neptune. It asks that you take action when it comes to those values and set a new and more ‘worthy’ destiny in motion with regards to your money, relationships and self-worth. Begin this now, before the year ends to reap the rewards towards the end of the month and on into January. Mercury enters your 2nd from the 12th signalling work, contracts and also the potential to earn more but again, your remaining 12 days of Christmas retroshadow may contain reversals or slight delays when it comes to signing or agreeing something. Your business acumen and capacity to generate money making ideas is being boosted which again, could have a positive, knock-on effect with your bank account.

Mercury is getting ready to meet Jupiter in here for the first time in 12 years on the 21st. This is the day of the Winter Solstice – or the Summer one if you are in the Southern Hemisphere. This is the day the Sun enters your 3rd which of course, Mercury rules. Jupiter wants to expand, Mercury delivers news. This relates to your bank account, possessions, assets, gifts, bonuses or a relationship that is quite literally an ‘asset’ to you. Self-worth validating and bank account boosting news could arrive which determines a new direction and experience of handling more money than you have been used to. It’s about breaking free of emotional restrictions too as this month’s full appears in your setting sail 9th house – Jupiter’s ruling zone in your chart. Expect expansion and the broadening of your horizons. This full Moon lights the way ahead when it comes to your emotional journey. It reawakens hope and optimism and allows you to see your path as a journey rather than just a series of random events. Again, there’s a touch of luck around you with this Moon as it can bring about last minute rescues and put things the ‘right way’ up. Above all, it allows you to see that your feelings are valid and your goals are not as unreachable as you may have thought – especially when it comes to having the confidence and emotional safety-net which allows you to explore, take a chance or just step out of that comfort zone into where the magic happens for you. Very often we are the ones who unwittingly keep ourselves from something better – just because we are afraid to move away from what we know. Even if what we know isn’t that great. This Moon reminds you there is a whole world out there. See, touch and taste it.

Ancient ruler Mars is busy in your 5th house as 2018 draws to a close. You won’t wait to see what Santa has for you. And woe betide the fat man if he has got your order wrong – especially when it comes to love and the desire to express yourself. Mars could well be giving you a taste of what true freedom means and this includes the freedom to be yourself and not care whether others are judging you. Venus in your 1st makes an irresistible angle of allurement and charm to contemporary ruler Pluto in your 3rd. Follow up on news, invitations or reach out to anyone who has been on your mind lately. This is your opportunity to kick start 2019 before it arrives. Mars also aligns to the North Node – now in your 9th of yes, setting sail and freedom. Who you hear from or encounter or even news around work or business, could not only determine the course the New Year takes you in, but is all linked to a path you are destined to follow. Dare to step out on to it? Begin by daring to be yourself. Remember if trying something new or breaking away from what you usually do seems daunting – you only need ever take one step at a time. And anyone, especially you now can do that, Scorpio!

In a nutshell: Put the past behind you now.  Ahead, lies adventure and the unknown! Have the courage to leave what’s familiar and take a chance, Scorpio!

Sagittarius

  • Ride destiny all the way into 2019!
  • Discover just how lucky lucky can be
  • Love or opportunity springs from the past

Destiny defining changes arrives ahead of the New Year for you, Sag. You can’t hide from fate (even if you want to) but chances are fate will find you this December. This is one of the most exciting and potentially soul-releasing birthday seasons you have lived through in a very long time thanks to ruler Jupiter paying you a visit for the first time in 12 years. It’s a time of new beginnings and expansion like no other. The coming year is going to be one of seeing how far you can possibly go. And if you missed out on something – anything from the ‘one that got away’ to that job opportunity or lucky break, the good news is, if it has your name on it, it will reappear now. Yes, it may be slightly different than the first time around, it may in fact be completely new. But it springs from the past in some way or bears an uncanny resemblance to what you lost out on the first time around.

There’s still a lot of backwards action happening in the sky even as you head forward into new possibilities, Sag. Venus has been retrograde putting all our love lives on hold or ‘It’s complicated’ territory. Venus is now direct and arrives in your 12th on the 2nd. It will not fully exit its retroshadow period until the New Year when it arrives in your 1st however. Plus the first week of December sees Mercury head direct once more in here and arrive back in your 1st on the 12th. As Mercury moves faster than Venus, it will exit its retroshadow on the 24th. But until then, things may still be undecided, subject to change or you experience that weird feeling you are not being understood no matter how clearly you explain in your signature Sag style. However, this all goes back to anything you missed out on in the past – if it’s meant for you this period could see it winging its way back to you.

Your personal new Moon appears in your 1st on the 7th – the day after Mercury heads forward again. See this as symbolic of something now heading in your direction even if you cannot see it yet. Boosted now by Jupiter in your 1st this is a time of big, bold new beginnings. Think big, act confident and as if whatever it is you are aiming for has already manifested. Imagine how you are going to feel when it does. Now – act that way. This is your lucky year and Lucky by Melissa Etheridge is your anthem for the next 12 months. Take a chance – perhaps just on yourself. You are in the process of remaking your world and in doing so, your future. Begin something new now – it doesn’t matter what but what does matter is that you take the first step. There’s an idea – possibly a big one, that’s been circulating around in your head for a while now and it’s most possibly this one you need to initiate in some way. This new Moon angles at Mars and Neptune which are conjunct in your 4th of long term security and home life. Mars impels us into action. It’s a planet that just doesn’t sit around while Neptune provides inspiration. If you have been letting things drift – especially when it comes to living arrangements, lifestyle or career, this marks your kick off that couch whether it’s real of metaphorical. The fact is Sag, this new Moon shows you that you have a whole lot of living – and loving to do. Nobody will make it happen but you. Now you see what you need – go get it. To preface your theme song: Want to see how lucky lucky can be? You’ll only know if you try.

From the 12th with Mercury back in your 1st it is time to do something with those ideas but remember that certain areas especially to do with business, work or contracts – especially those dating back to October, may still be up in the air until Mercury quits retroshadow on the 24th. However, you’ve a joy to the world moment coming up just before the holiday season begins on the 20th when Mercury angles to Uranus in your 5th which could just put the icing on that festive cake for you especially around romance, passion or even your children. Unexpected gifts or recognition may form part of your holiday surprise for some of you.

The Sun is now on the move on into your money zone on the day of the solstice ending your birthday season but bringing one of fabulous new potential around your income and how you make your dough. This day alsso sees Jupiter and Mercury meet in your 1st for the first time in 12 years. This could bring you news that it literally too big to miss or an opportunity which lights the way forward for you into the New Year. This month’s full Moon the following day appears in your 8th of transformation and personal power on the 22nd. The gift for you this holiday season may come in the form of being able to let go of something which may have felt like a burden all year. This could see the transformation of a long term situation, possibly around your finances.  This also could come about as a direct result of inner work you have been doing around your values and what really matters to you. This is paving the way for more changes around your resources to come in 2019. For now however, you could rest and reflect on a job well done and the satisfaction that comes from sticking to your beliefs.  In the final days of 2018 this could quite literally show up as cash in the bank and/or as something from which you can build on for your future. Again, as Venus angles to Pluto in its ruling 2nd from your 12th, don’t be surprised if this stems from something you set in motion in the past. Expect closure and completion on one area with big new beginnings to follow this December, Sag!

In a nutshell: Time to begin something new. Your gift this holiday season is the ability to head towards those big dreams as you are released from past restrictions. Get lucky, Sagittarius.

Capricorn

  • Take action on intuition
  • Get serious about what you want for serious results
  • Happy birthday, Capricorn

Everything is shifting forward for you now, Capricorn. As we enter your pre-birthday period it truly is time for that yearly soul stock-take. What still needs to be completed? What loose ends require tying up? What or most importantly, who do you want to take with you into your new cycle? Time for some soul and life gardening between the start of the month and the Sun entering your 1st on Dec 21. Mercury will head direct again from the 5th and arrive back in your 12th from the 12th. Remember it remains in retroshadow until Dec 24. Venus is now on the move again – heading back into your 11th of friends and goals. Venus will not exit the retroshadow phase until the New Year and then will occupy your 12th. So, please continue to bear in mind this is all about the love of friends and past loves rather than embarking on that new romance. And to save you time and money in the New Year, hold off on signing up for that internet dating site until Venus moves into your 1st which will happen in the first week of February. That is, if you are seeking more than just a fling to be flung.

Make no mistake, your energy is at a peak as is your intuition this December. Above all, it is time to really listen to what your higher self, guardian angel, gut, guides, universal wisdom – no matter what you want to call it, is telling you. And heed its advice. Even if you do not like what it is saying or where it is drawing your attention to. Your 12th house is loaded now with Jupiter linking you to the wisdom of the multiverse and all your past lives, Mercury from the 6th and the Sun in here. The past looms large and it’s all a bit Christmas Carol like this December as the ghosts of Christmas past may come calling. Certainly, people from your past and past rewards if they are due, could appear now. The truth is about to set you free and this could apply to a person or situation that has been well and truly lived out. With your peak energy at your disposal, when you see things as they are – follow through. This month’s new Moon appears in your 12th on the 7th – the day after Mercury shifts forward again. A key piece of a puzzle could emerge now.

Make changes especially as revelations are in order and you need to take action once you see things as they truly are. The new Moon angles across to Neptune which rules this house and Mars – both in your 3rd – Mercury’s ruling house. So, this is no coincidence this occurs the day after Mercury moves ahead once again. Mars is fueling that energy you are feeling and what you need to remember is that your initial response to anything right now will be the correct one. Have faith in yourself and your innate ability to make the correct choice and please – follow through. This is all part of that forward shift. Cull. Declutter. Shed. Release. Keep only what adds value and evolves your path. This cuts across everything from stuff on your desk, to what’s in your head to a connection you now see in a new light.

Fabulous aspects are occurring this December between Venus in your 11th and ruler Saturn and then later in the month, Venus and Pluto. As the party season hits full swing mid-month, benefits via long term or established friends or contacts could wing their way to you. Others could form an important new friendship with serious long term potential. And one that could have a huge impact on you for long after the decorations have been packed away! This person may even be in a position of influence or power. Please do bear in mind however this truly is about friendship now. Even if something emerges with romantic overtones, it is likely to settle into ‘Just good friends’ over time.

The day the Sun arrives in your 1st sees Mercury and Jupiter meet for the first time in your 12th for 12 years. You need to look carefully at what emerges for you now as offers, news and opportunities contain even bigger potential for you than is obvious at first. Something or someone from the past could return and if it or they do, take it that this is something you are taking forward with you as opposed to anything you need to let go of.  It is now time to focus on the wonderful world of you and above all, what you want to achieve. This is yet another year to get serious – while ruler Saturn remains in your sign. Remember – the choices and decisions you make during this cycle are ones you will live with for a very long time to come.

This is a future-determining period especially when it comes to romance, money, values and children. As well as who you share your life and your heart with. Yes, it may not be the best time to start a new love affair. But the full Moon in your 7th on the 22nd has you very much focused on who is opposite you (or that empty space) and what is being reflected back. Time to bathe in the light of reflected love you are receiving not only from partners but from close friends or even that work or business connection. This is all a reflection of your inner values and your beliefs around the love you  feel you deserve. It’s also a full Moon under which to create more love within existing relationships. It’s not just the sentimental feel of the festive season that’s at work but the timing too as a relationship could deepen, commitments could be made and something could go to the next level. With all the action not only centered on you, the birthday sign, it’s still truly about the cosmic interplay of souls thanks to Jupiter in your 12th. Destiny is playing a role and soul contracts will have a massive part to play in the upcoming year for you, Capricorn. For now as the year ends, bask in the love that’s reflected back on you, give back in kind and take your goals, dreams and visions for your future, more seriously than ever as you head into 2019.

In a nutshell: Get ready for your birthday season by getting serious, Capricorn. About what you want and especially around love. Serious results could be your take-out. Celebrate – seriously now.

Aquarius

  • Work it for wellbeing
  • Wish upon the biggest star in the sky
  • Life’s a party and you’re invited!

Work it, this December Aquarius. What is that body telling you? Does it need a little more love and a little less overindulgence? Yes, ‘tis the season of temptation. There’s a connection you won’t be able to overlook between what you put in your body – and even that ‘diet’ your mind is on, and how you look and feel as we begin the month. Ruler Uranus is paying one final visit to your 3rd and highlights the obvious for you when it squares the North Node in your house of wellbeing. Business and work matters are also coming back into focus. Mercury which rules both your 3rd and 6th house, heads direct once more in your 10th of career and reputation from the 6th. It will remain in retrograde shadow right up until the 24th. See this as an opportunity to fine tune that CV for the New Year if you have decided that part of a healthy lifestyle is a job change. In fact, a healthy outlook is what is needed across the board from enjoying yourself but being mindful of what fuels that body to paying attention to what you are feeding your mind too.

An attitude adjustment may follow as you realise you may have been focusing on something that really doesn’t do you any good in the long term. This could be anything from an idea to other people’s social media feeds. Is everyone having a better time than you? The answer is probably not but it could be time to employ that inner editor to delete what really doesn’t support or nourish you. The fact is, there’s too much good stuff happening and you need to feel your best so you don’t miss out on it. December wants to remind you that life isn’t a spectator sport. You’re being invited to join in and participate.

Bear in mind the planet of love remains in retroshadow until the New Year so this is still not the best time for that festive new love affair. But Venus entering your 10th awakens deep drives and ambitions. All attainable now you can combine these with diplomacy and a touch of magenic glamour. New love may be on hold but old love may seem new again. Time to work at enhancing all your existing connections be they love partnerships or working ones and seeing these bear fruit for you. Friends, networks, contacts, groups, clubs, organisations feature as well as benefits from all of these. Your  social life is set to soar with you on the receiving end of good times, invitations and opportunities all stemming from those you know. You also need to take action when it comes to those dreams. You may recall when Jupiter entered this house of your chart in November, my telling you to make three wishes?  Well, look at those now and pick one which you can take even the first, tiniest step towards on your own as the new Moon takes to the skies in here on the 7th. This is your house of the future so face forward now – even before the New Year begins. Envision the new even if this time also includes catching up with people you’ve not seen for a while. In fact, if you revisit old friends and hangouts, they may seem new on some level for you.

Be aware this new Moon tightly hugs Neptune and Mars which are conjunct in your money house. Please keep a tight rein on your spending and above all, understand that you do not need to prove how much you love or care about someone by spending more than you can afford on either gifts of treating them. In fact, this should be your gift to yourself now. However, this Mars/Neptune conjunction can highlight inspired ways to make more money if you follow through on your ideas. These could be big ones now as Mercury re-enters your 11th from the 11th and begins to move closer to Jupiter. And the Sun’s final day in this house sees it make a positive angle to ruler Uranus. Unexpected news and ideas light up the festivities. The day of the  solstice sees the Sun enter your 12th while Mercury and Jupiter meet in your 11th. Large gatherings, good times, gifts and other benefits flow from people you know and for some, that Christmas Wish-upon-a-star – in this case the biggest one in the zodiac, could come true. Luck is on your side. Above all, embrace a larger social circle, accept all invitations that come your way and be open to meeting people from as many different walks of life as possible. This is where your real gifts can be found now.

This month’s full Moon on the 22nd isn’t at first glance one that will put you in a festive mood. It appears in your 6th of work, routine and wellness. With all this 11th house activity you are more focused on being the life and soul of the party as you reach for another mince pie. So, your initial reaction to this full Moon could be: where’s the fun in that?  Again, we’re back to working in for wellbeing, the theme we encountered at the start of the month. However, if you do ignore this you are missing another wonderful gift. This Moon allows escape from routines that have confined you or seen you dusted with dullness instead of glitter. This full Moon could see you end a work cycle on a positive note – freeing you up to go enjoy yourself with a clear conscience and sense of satisfaction. Pisces

  • Opt for the love that allows you to be yourself
  • Who makes it happen?
  • Step towards the New Year with confidence – and in a flirty mood!

Let’s talk about love freedom as December begins, Pisces. Clingy love, love that comes with hidden conditions or ties to it, love that leaves you feeling you have to live up to the other person’s expectations, love that is out-of-balance, love which restricts you. All these are no-nos and in fact are prime examples of what love isn’t. Time to move towards healthy love which sets you free – and this includes healthy self-love, now as Venus which rules both our love life and our bank account, enters your 9th while Mercury also in here heads direct again from the 6th. Time to opt for what excites you, fills you with passion and makes your heart beat faster. So-so love? Why would you settle for that? Perhaps in your compassionate way, to keep the peace or not to hurt someone’s feelings?  December asks you what about yours? Or have you fallen into that old Pisces trap of seeing the potential in someone and then discovering they are simply not in a position on their soul journey to live up to it?

Before Venus enters your 9th it will oppose Uranus in your 2nd on the 1st – for the final time. Is love worth it? What is the price on freedom to love and be loved the way you need to? This is your opportunity to bring things back into balance once and for all with regards to your love future. And if you are single right now, please be aware that until Venus quits retroshadow early in the New Year, this is a time for flirtation rather than anything serious. In fact, freedom in love can often be giving ourselves permission NOT to take anything too seriously, and just go out, flirt and have fun and park our expectations at the door – for now. This does not mean to say that something serious cannot emerge later. It’s all very much ‘Love the one you’re with’ now.

Your focus as we run up to Christmas should in fact be on personal dreams, desires and big ambitions. The Sun is in your career zone until the 21st and on the 5th questions ruler Neptune in your 1st about your intentions to achieve for the coming year. You have a path-defining new Moon in your 10th on the 7th – the day that Mars planet of affirmative action and passion, meets Neptune. This is about inspired moves and not making any more excuses when it comes to making them. It’s about reaching higher and taking action on our own behalf.

This new Moon and angle to this important soul igniting meeting in your 1st embodies the line from the  classic Mike Nichols film Working Girl where antagonist Sigourney Weaver who plays a boss who steals her ambitious secretary’s idea (Melanie Griffiths) and passes it off as her own, asks her: Who makes it happen? You make it happen under this new Moon. If you do, you are in a position to impress people in positions of authority and influence, gatekeepers and those who can say yes or greenlight that next career move. Mercury re-enters your 10th from the 12th and has another 12 days of retroshadow catch-up to play but that does not mean you cannot begin to make those work related moves now. Venus meanwhile could bring about a transformation around a long term relationship or romance as it draws on the higher love vibration of your ruler on the 21st. It may not be time to get serious about something new but something old or existing could get taken to a higher, transcendent level now.

The time of the solstice is a fabulous one for all Pisces. It’s a day where love, ambition and goals can align. For the first time in 12 years Mercury and Jupiter meet in your 10th on this day which could signify a milestone event or news which raises your reputation and sends your stock soaring. This is your future calling. We also have the Sun entering your 11th of goals and your social life promising good times ahead for the holiday and New Year periods and also assistance from those you know when it comes to attaining those dreams – be they professional or personal. This month’s full Moon in your 5th is about romance, attraction, passion and again, fun and not taking anything too seriously. Recapture the joy and the wonder you felt during the holiday season as a child. You’re feeling more open, more loving, more able to express yourself and be in the moment and not care what others think. Isn’t this how it is supposed to be? Work you did earlier in the month around balancing out that love and claiming the freedom to love and be loved your way pays off under this full Moon.

You end the year with a full house and rushing to dive into whatever 2019 brings you. Not only do you  have ruler Neptune in your 1st but Mars has you seeing out the old year with a new born confidence, passion and excitement when it comes to what the future contains. Mars will trine the North Node in your 5th on the 28th, meet Chiron on the 29th and then Hygeia on New Year’s Eve. What all this may lead up to showing you is the effects on every part of your life (and your soul for that matter) when you live or love in a way that simply isn’t true to who you are. So, look to where you need to reclaim that love freedom this December, Pisces. There’s no more not loving you the way you are and there’s certainly no more heart room for those who don’t either. So make sure that includes that all-important self-love too.

In a nutshell: Balance the love this December and embrace freedom at the same time. Time to flirt and above all, stop taking things so seriously. Aside from showing you with self-love that is!
