To understand this, you need to know a bit more about how the universe works.  Recent findings in quantum physics have given us a scientific language to describe what Shamen have always known.  If you could look at the world through quantum eyes, you would see no real division between you and anything else.  The atoms that are part of everything are constantly on the move, exchanging information with everything around them.  We are all connected to each other and to everything in the universe in a vast, cosmic web.
